Chapter Fifteen: Blood Must Have Blood
PETER:
Peter woke up in bed that morning to discover it was empty rather than having the two beautiful women he normally woke up with on either side of him. Realising that they must already be awake, Peter got out of bed, quickly had a shower and got dressed before making his way downstairs where he found Sara and Adrianna eating breakfast.
"Morning," Peter greeted his girlfriend and sister, giving each one a soft kiss on the lips before taking a seat himself. "Why didn’t you wake me up?"
"We figured we let you sleep in especially after your midnight rendezvous," Adrianna commented while staring at Peter, clearly wanting some answers. "You get ahead of yourself and start fucking away at the sororities already?"
"Actually, Nico Hernandez stopped by," Peter revealed.
"What did Nico want?" Sara asked curiously.
"My help to find his girlfriend's kidnapper," Peter informed them.
"And what did you say?" Sara wondered.
"Nothing at first but he did remind me that he helped me out a lot with Kai," Peter recalled.
"You want to help him, don’t you?" Adrianna realised.
"Of course I do, AC," Peter admitted. "What he's going through... If I were to lose either one of you... I'd be the same... I have to help him..."
"You wouldn’t be you if you didn’t," Sara sighed. "Just be careful..."
"When am I not?" Peter shrugged.
"What she means is you knew Kai, what kind of person he was," Adrianna told him. "We know nothing about the person who went after Nico..."
"We just can’t lose you the same way you can't lose us," Sara added.
"Don't worry, I'll be careful," Peter reassured them. "I promise."
AMELIA:
With Amelia staying in the apartment she was sharing with Elsa and the rest of her friends, Ryan woke up to an empty bed and after getting ready for the day ahead found himself enjoying the peace and quiet in the penthouse as he took a sip of his coffee that morning.
"That smells soooo good," Jessica said with a smile as she entered the kitchen and joined Ryan.
"Fresh pot of coffee usually does," Ryan responded as he watched his older sister fill her mug from the coffee pot.
"You not in work yet?" Jessica wondered.
"Nico has given me a lot more duties and has basically given me carte blanche on when I want to open," Ryan informed Jessica. "You on the other hand don’t unless you want to be CEO all of a sudden."
"I don't. At least not yet," Jessica told her. "I'm still trying to find my footing."
"I never did ask, how was your Mom doing? You did see her before you arrived in the city, didn’t you?" Ryan wondered as he thought to his father’s first wife, Aria Morgan.
"She's good. A lot better than when I found her when she relapsed," Jessica told him. "I do want her here when she gets out though."
"That's fine by me," Ryan agreed. "She is your mother, after all, she belongs here with us. Her family…"
ASA:
Asa found herself being the first one to leave Aldridge House that morning due to the fact she had a class first thing that morning for the drama course that she taking. Making her way into the Hamilton Building, Asa soon discovered she was one of the first few to arrive at the lecture hall and not seeing any of the friends she had already made on the course there, Asa was about to take a seat as she waited however she was stopped by none other than a professor she knew quite well, Dana Fell.

"Yeah, the last couple of months have been crazy..." Asa sighed as she remembered.
"What I wanted to say was, if any of you want to talk, Hollie, Peter, Sara, any of you want to talk, just remember that I'm a trained therapist even if I'm teaching now." Dana kindly told her.
"I'll let them know." Asa nodded.
"Hey, Asa!" The voice of one of Asa's new friends, Elliott Jones called out. Elliot has black hair, brown eyes and an athletic-build. Elliott also happened to be gay something that led to Asa and Elliott becoming quick friends upon learning of each other's sexual-orientations. Elliott stopped awkwardly upon realising that Asa was talking to a professor. "Sorry, Professor Fell."
"It's okay, you better take your seats in class anyways," Dana told them as she noticed the students starting to pile in.
"Thanks again for the offer, Dana," Asa told Dan before following Elliott to their seats.

"It's complicated but Peter's helping a friend of his that really needs help," Hollie informed her.
"Still, it's our first meeting, he should be here." Bella reminded the brunette.
"I get that but one thing you have to know about Peter is that his life gets crazy," Hollie told her. "Sometimes he's gonna have to bail on us but when he does show up, he brings everything he has."
"He better," Bella told her. "I can't afford to fail."
"Why not?" Hollie wondered.
"I don’t like to talk about it but I'm all alone, I'm working a job to pay for my place here so I can't lose my place because of failed a grade," Bella admitted.
"Don't worry, we won't," Hollie told her.
PETER:
Peter smashed open the door to the bar, punching the security guard who stood beside it in the face while Peter and Nico charged in after him with Nico going for the two men who were at the pool table and Peter heading for the bartender.
Jumping over the bar, Peter slammed the bartender's head onto the bar only to be elbowed back against the wooden shelves, shattering several glasses upon impact. "He would have been driving a black Mercedes," Eddie added recalling the information Alex Thorne managed to track for them.

"Weston International!" The man informed him causing Peter to throw the man on the floor and he looked up at Eddie and Nico. "Excuse me guys, I need to make a call."

"Alex! What are you doing here?" Ryan asked as Alex climbed out of his car.
"Got some engine trouble, was hoping you would have a look at it for me," Alex explained.
"Sure, can I get you anything while you wait?" Ryan offered.
"Nah, I'm good," Alex sighed. "How's it going for you? I hear you and Amelia are quite the item now..."
"We are. My life's awesome right now," Ryan admitted. "I'm enjoying the work and having Amelia is just a bonus."
"I can tell." Alex agreed. "So where's Nico?"
"Where do you think? You heard about his girl..." Ryan responded.
"That's not all I heard. There are messages the people I'm keeping an eye on have been sending. War is coming," Alex revealed. "The Quadrant left a gap and everyone is vying to fill it."
"Who's doing the talking?" Ryan asked.
"The usual, Tyrone Wilson, Zhang Chen, Johnny Caine," Alex informed him.
"Well do me a favour and let me know if those talks turn into plans of action," Ryan asked.
"Will do." Alex nodded.
"Now let's go have a look at that car of yours," Ryan told the teen.

Sara made her way out of the Nightingale building that afternoon following her lecture and was heading for lunch when she noticed a familiar shade of red and saw Adrianna also leaving another building.

"What do they want?" Sara questioned.
"They've been impressed with the work I've been doing with them last summer and the summer before that and they gave me an offer for a full-time job..." Adrianna revealed.

"But he'd be worth it," Adrianna admitted. "I know that much... I just need to figure out if it is what I want though until then don't say anything to him, please."
"I won't, Adrianna," Sara reassured the redhead. "I promise."

"Can I get anyone anything to eat or drink?" Hollie asked as she played host to Bella, Roxanne and Maya.
"No, I'm good," Bella answered. "I gotta say you guys lucked out with this place though."

"It's not luck. My brother Tommy and his partners lived here up until last year when they attended Redwater University. Our parents pushed the campus board to give it to us when we started." Hollie explained.
"Ok, so we settled on what our project is, maybe we should decide who's doing what..." Maya suggested.
"We should probably wait for Peter before we do that," Roxanne commented.
"Nah, go right ahead. Peter said he'd be cool with whatever and he'll catch up and pull his own weight when the next meeting happens." Hollie told the group just as the front door opened and Asa entered the house, greeting her girlfriend with a soft kiss on the lips.
"Hey babe," Asa said with a smile.
"Hey," Hollie responded before turning to the rest of her group. "Guys, let me introduce you to my girlfriend, Asa O'Reilly. She lives here with me and Peter so you might end up seeing her quite a bit."

"I will," Demi nodded. "I promise."

"After learning that and with some help from Alex, he found footage of the employee dropping the car off here to Zhang Chen... I'm assuming he got one of his guys to carry out the hit."
"By why would Zhang kidnap Mara?" Eddie asked.
"To get to me. I made my life on information and selling it to the people who wanted it. If he wanted to make a power move now that the Quadrant is gone, I would have known about it." Nico told him.
