Omegaverse (Littles and Caretakers)

On October 7, 2013 at Arcadia Bay, Oregon, the first of many strange anomalies began to occur.

An 18-year old girl named Maxine Caulfield had spontaneously gained the power to reverse time.

She had lived so many lifetimes since the first time she had first activated this ability. There was a fixed point in time -- the **** of her friend Chloe Price with a gunshot to the stomach -- and Max had tried to defy it. The universe, abhorring this change, had tried everything in its power to correct this. It was the destruction of the town in the eye of a hurricane that was its final cry.

From this branch in the timeline was born as Maxine "Max" Caulfield that was not willing to lie down and let the universe take Chloe, nor was she necessarily going to let the universe throw its tantrum about it, either. She had grown wise in her many invisible years. One does not travel through time as many times and for as long as she has without growing and changing and rediscovering oneself over and over.

She had spent so much time and effort and research to do everything in her power to have her cake and eat it too.

While she had finally succeeded over an eternity of work, this resulted in a complete alteration of humanity's place in time. While that ancient and all-knowing Max had long since been erased from existence, she faded away content in the knowledge that Chloe would be safe from her intended ****. For good.

Of course, she was not here to see just how radically different the Earth she had unknowingly created really was, or what the Max that had developed in her place was like.

This is her story.

October 7, 2013. Jefferson's Classroom, Blackwell Academy.

Max suddenly woke up after having drifted off. She had a strange dream about the lighthouse. It was so real, yet so surreal. She had dreamt of a raging hurricane that was existing, yet simultaneously didn't. It was as though she was remembering two completely different events happening at the exactly same time at the same place.

"--Alfred Hitchcock famously called film, 'little piece of time' but he could be talking about photography, as he likely was."

Oh right. Class.

Mr. Jefferson, Max's Photography teacher, was giving a lecture and only half of the class was paying attention.

When Jefferson wasn't looking, Taylor threw a paper ball at Kate. Kate tried to ignore it.

Max looked down at her clothes. A hoodie, a pink t-shirt and a pair of jeans. She covertly looked around to see if someone was looking and, as carefully as she could manage, unbuttoned and unzipped her jeans. Beneath her jeans were a pair of Luvlies.

To those who aren't privy to this universe, Luvlies were a type of pull-up created special for Littles ages 13 to 18. Max's class as a little held a great laundry list of special needs.

Max ran her hand along the surface of her Luvlie until she reached the very bottom of it.

Damn. I must of wet it when I dozed off.

Even when she wasn't lost in her headspace, Max had trouble holding it.

Suddenly the bell went off.
