Trouble

You look up to see the Vice Principal, mouth agape, looking down at you and Sarah, partially naked and sweaty.

To her credit, the VP reigned her shock in and spoke in a calm, controlled manner that sounds worse to you than if she had yelled. "Well now, when the attendance taken outside revealed three missing students, I could never have imagined that two of them would be having intercourse in the Equipment room."

"Ma'am, we..." you start before being cut off by a more angry-sounding VP.

"I cannot tell you how serious a breach in school conduct this is. You both could be expelled for this. At the very least, we cannot proceed until your parents are called. Come with me, both of you."

"Ma'am please, we're..." Sarah starts to say before being cut off again.

"You're what? Sorry? Not yet, you are not. Now get dressed and come with me." The finality in her voice makes further arguing out of the question, so both you and Sarah dress and follow the Vice Principal to the office.

She marches you straight past the administration lady and into the detention room, a small featureless room with cubicles to keep the students separated from each other. There is only one other person there, Rachel. The little redhead is sitting with her face in her hands, her long red hair obscuring the view of her face.

"You may join Rachel, who also thought that fire alarms are meaningless to her, as I talk to the Principal."

The Vice Principal leaves the room closing and locking the door behind her. Both you and Sarah take seats at cubicles too nervous to look at each other or even talk.

"So why were you two still here after I pulled the fire alarm?"

You look up and see Rachel smiling at you.

"Not that it really matters to me, but it is rather boring sitting here all quiet and stuff, waiting for the ax to fall." She was smiling, like she had a secret or something.

"What are you so happy about?" Sarah snapped at her.

"Temper, Sarah. It just so happens that I have something that may get us all out of here unscathed."

"Is it the reason you pulled the alarm?" you ask.

"It just so happens that it is. Unfortunately, I was hoping to save it, but I got caught on my way out of the building sooo..." Rachel trailed off.

"Well, what is it, Rachel," said Sarah, hope creeping into her features.

"It's this." Rachel held up her phone which showed a video file.

"What is that?" you ask.

"This is a video of the VP and the Principal getting it on with another young student, namely moi, and I will offer to show this to the school board, the media, and the police unless they release all three of us."

Sarah looked as if she could kiss Rachel and you shake your head at that little bit of trickery as the door to the detention room opens and the Principal walks in.
