Chapter 4

Which team will you choose?
X-Men Originals 1963
Good choice! A strong team indeed!! Founded by the ever amicable Prof. Charles Xavier, from the outside his humble Westchester mansion seems like a simple school for the gifted youths he accepts. But in reality, he is the most powerful mutant mind on the planet and has gathered many similarly gifted youngsters.
Prof Charles Xavier: Founder of the X-Men and one of the most kind men on the planet. His overwhelming mutant gifts to read thoughts, control minds, and move things with a simple passing thought would terrify the world. However, it could not be placed in a better man. Forbidding himself from ever reading a person without their expressed permission and staying true to his self-imposed hipocratic oath to "first, do no harm" with his gifts... this kind and powerful man may be the closest his students ever come to a parent.
Scott "Stretch" Summers AKA Cyclops. Orphaned at a young age, the poor man has no ability to mentally control his explosive optic lasers due to a head injury sustained in the same crash that alledgedly killed his entire family. Gifted with a ruby quartz visor he must manually lift, he is the somber spirit of the team.
Warren Worthington III AKA The Angel. Mostly considered a rich pretty boy, his money has helped him to both keep his mutant secret and fund some of the more immense projects for Charles Xavier. Even those who know him best consider Warren a playboy of sorts with confidence to burn... but his confidence hides the sad truth that when he first manifested his powers he violently cut his majestic wings off only to have them grow back. In an effort to blend in with "normal people" Warren is never seen outside of costume unless he is wearing his special harness that painfully hides his glorious wings.
Henry "Hank" Mcoy AKA Beast. For all intents and purposes, most people who meet Hank would consider him nothing more than an extremely intelligent Illinois farm boy. His wide shoulders and stocky body make him look powerful, but his gentle smile and glasses still give him the disarming "nerd" look. Little do most people know that Henry is one of the most agile mutants on the planet whose strength and agility are only outmatched by his incredible scientific curiosity... especially about mutant genetics.
Robert "Bobby" Drake AKA Iceman. The youngest, and by far loudest, of Xavier's students; 16 year old Bobby Drake is usually found in a "snow form" making a smart-ass comment. While he is called Iceman and uses a form of "ice-sled" for fast propulsion... his sense of humor seems to manifest even in combat. Iceman is easily spotted as the "naked snowman with boots" in combat scenarios.
Jean "Red" Grey AKA "Marvel Girl. The newest addition to the school and only female student thus far, Ms Grey has provided the young men with not only a beautiful woman in their mix but also a powerful telepath. But there's something slightly off about her. When she introduced herself the first time, she floated a book across the room with ease but outside of that experience... she seems ****, almost timid, to use her powers.
This is a strong team, indeed! Or... is it a group of worthy adversaries? Or perhaps, simply a team you've always desperately wanted to join?
