Your complex is L shaped. And if the wind is coming from the south. That must mean you'd have to cross the park which is... north east (you think) from here. A ten minute walk and then you would be at the store.

Of course that would mean that if you headed North for a while and then-- North west?
Then there should possibly be a larger super mart.

You could also head North - East and then a North east. You would arrive at the docks.
There used to be alot of goods down at the docks if you recall right.
