One week later (other continuity)

Julien sat next to his brother as James conducted his negotiations. James was a much better talker than he so that's the way things usually ended up. Though Julien may get a point in here and there and the brothers had agreed on a script, so to speak, to follow. Julien sighed as he watched the two captain's expressions recognizing them as similar to the others before.

The black woman spoke first, "You expect me to drop everything I'm doing to go on some wild skreep chase? You must be daft."

James shook his head, "I know it sounds a bit incredible..."

The other captain cut him off, "Ridiculous. I can't pay my crew on a maybe. Sorry sons, I can't help you. Money's tight as it is."

With that the two got up and left.

Julien sighed as James slumped in his chair, "Come on, let's head back to the room at the Bulls and Boars Inn...we'll try again tomorrow."

"Fine...this is getting very discouraging."

"We could always see Uncle Davy..."

"If nothing turns up tomorrow then we'll do that." James replied.

The twins finished their drinks and got up James swinging his satchel over his shoulder.

As they left Julien saw the black captain speaking to two men with an oddly military bearing. Julien strained his ears to hear, "What do you mean you lost her? You better find that red headed wench or sliced ears will be the least of you problems!"

Julien's eyes narrowed, that didn't sound pleasant. He resolved himself to keep on the lookout for red heads.
