Walked in on

Alexa slipped into the bathroom and lowered her pants and underwear to her ankles. She lifted the seat of the toilet and did her business, wiping herself after.

She then closed the lid and flushed the toilet. She opened her bag and pulled out her diaper and unfolded it, setting it down on the toilet seat. She stepped out of her pants and underwear and lowered herself onto the diaper. Just as she did, the door opened.

Alexa froze as she made eye contact with the flight attendant from earlier. Alexa’s face turned bright red with embarrassment. “Oh, I’m so sorry, sweetie. The occupy light wasn’t on. Make sure you lock the door when you go potty next time, okay?” the attendant said, standing in the doorway.

Alexa was at a loss for words and simply nodded her head up and down. “S-sorry,” she stammered.

“Here let me help you,” the flight attendant said as she stepped into the bathroom with Alexa.

Alexa blushed as the attendant adjusted her diaper and helped her sprinkle baby powder on her privates. She pulled the front of the diaper up and tapped it shut, securing the diaper.

The flight attendant picked up Alexa’s underwear and gazed at it. “Oops there’s a little leak in these. Let me put these in a baggy for your mommy. Now let’s get you into these pants.”

The attendant pulled a zip lock bag out from one of the storage spots and placed the underwear inside, zipping it shut. She then took Alexa’s pants and held them out, waiting for her to step into them. Alexa complied as she stepped one foot in and then the next. The attendant pulled her pants all the way up and gave Alexa a pat on her bottom. “There you go sweetie. Now let’s go head back to your seat.”

The flight attendant took Alexa’s hand and guided her back to her seat. Alexa couldn’t look Avery in the eyes as she sat down. The flight attendant handed Avery the zip locked bag containing Alexa’s soiled underwear and spoke softly. “Here, someone had a bit of an accident. I made sure to seal them properly.”

Avery looked startled and her eyes darted to Alexa and then back at the flight attendant. Avery slowly took the bag from the flight attendant’s hand and put it in her backpack. She smiled pretending to be grateful as the attendant walked away.

Alexa felt so embarrassed as she looked down in shame. Her confidence had been shattered and she felt like she was going to cry. She was surprised when Avery gently placed a hand on her shoulder. “Hey, it’s okay,” Avery said speaking softly so only Alexa could hear. “You don’t need to be embarrassed or ashamed.”

Alexa felt her eyes watering, trying to hold back tears. “I… I’m s-sorry.”

Avery pulled Alexa so that she faced her, and gently guided her into her arms. “Shhh. It’s okay. You don’t have to worry. Please, Alexa. There is no shame in any of this. Lexi, look at me. I’m not going to judge or shame you for any of this. This isn’t your fault.”

Alexa couldn’t help it as she felt her shoulders rise and fall, tears falling as the embarrassment settled in her brain. Avery held her tightly, comforting. “I’m sorry,” Alexa sobbed.

“Shhh. I’m here for you, okay? I’m right here. You’re such a sweet girl, Lexi. I barely know you, and yet I care so much about you. You remind me of myself. Struggling to be normal. To fit in. To be seen as an independent… I understand. Believe me. I do,” Avery said. “You owe me nothing. And yet all you’ve shown is compassion and heart. There’s no shame here.”

Alexa slowly calmed down. Her head rested on Avery’s shoulder as Avery wrapped an arm around her. Avery gently rubbed Alexa’s thigh. Alexa took a few more deep breaths as she relaxed.

Alexa yawned. “Close your eyes,” Avery whispered. “I’ve got you. I promise. I’m not going anywhere.”

Alexa nodded. She closed her eyes letting Avery comfort her as she fell asleep, her soft breathing turning to light snores.
