Chapter 19 by HipsDontLie HipsDontLie

How does the night go?

Pretty cool and a little bit naughty

It didn't take long for Ayita to come back with four beers, almost running while slaloming between customers. Eve smiled at her. "Thank you! I don't carry a pic of myself in my purse, but I think I might have an idea."

She grabbed a paper napkin and folded it, then pressed her lips on both parts, leaving lipstick smears on it. She then pulled a pen and wrote "For Ayita, with all my affection" on the napkin, followed with her signature, before handing it to the waitress. "I hope you're not disappointed. If you really want a picture I..."

"Are you kidding me?" the proud half Cherokee exclaimed. "It's even better! It's my favorite napkin on earth from now on!"

As she was about to walk away, Sylvie suddenly called her. "Hey, Ayita! Once you finish your service, come see us. We would be happy to hang out with you."

"R... Really? Well, ok!" the waitress anwered before going back to her work.

Everybody was now looking at Sylvie.

"What was that for?" her girlfriend asked, holding her tight and kissing her on the neck.

"She looks nice, she's cute, and somebody else here might be thinking the same thing." She was looking at Eve.

"What? Me?" The blonde girl blushed. "What are you insinuating?"

"I'm insinuating all the attention might be really flattering, but you were feeling something else than flattery while looking at this nice little booty wabbling away in daisy dukes when you ordered her beers."

"That's rid..."

"Wait, so it wasn't my imagination?" Christine interrupted her.

"Girls! I'm straight, remember?" Eve sighed, hoping she was convincing.

"Who knows, maybe there's still a part of yourself you haven't discovered yet?" Sylvie answered with a malicious smile, mimicking her tone.

"What's your name, by the way?" Christine asked with an exaggeratedly sensual voice.

"I'm sure I didn't sound like this." She hesitated. "Did I sound like this?"

"If the poor girl wasn't crazy in love before meeting you, she might be right now." Lorena answered while grabbing a beer for Sylvie and another for herself. "Anyway, to sex and diversity!"

The girls laughed and cheered, then went back to other topics. The night was great and everybody was having fun, but Eve was still thinking about what Ayita and what her friends had seen (or thought they had seen) through her. Indeed, the girl was pretty, and she looked nice and lively. And she had long and probably flexible legs. Could she... actually be attracted to her? When she mentioned she might unknowingly not be one hundred percent straight, it wasn't exactly a lie but more some sort of formality she was used to go through to not sound intolerant. But it was the first time she considered it, could she possibly... be bisexual? She certainly wasn't a lesbian, since she sure as hell liked boys, but maybe she should broaden her perspective.

"I think your girlfriend is trying to catch your attention." Sylvie noticed.

Eve followed her gaze and saw Ayita, waving at her from the door of the bar. She looked back at her friends, then got up and joined the girl.

"I'm sorry," she declared once Eve was close enough to hear her, "I really wanted to answer your friend's invitation, but I just finished and can't miss the last train."

"Ho, that's too bad..." Eve imediately saw that it wasn't the answer she was expecting. She had barely met Ayita and it doesn’t feel like she’ll meet her again.

“You can’t even stay for one dance?” Eve asked.

Ayita looked at her watch and said, “Well, maybe one dance.”

Eve and Ayita hed to the dancefloor. Just as they started dancing the music switched to a romantic song.

“Oh, god. Not a slow dance.” Eve thought.

But Ayita didn’t hesitate putting her hands on Eve’s hips and started slow dancing.

Eve took a deep breath, put her hands on Ayita’s back and started moving with her.

As the two girls danced, they looked into one another’s eyes. For the duration of this song, Eve’s entire vision was Ayita’s face. She was so beautiful.

Maybe it was the music, maybe it was the place, or perhaps it was a hidden part of Eve she never knew existed. But at some point she felt herself getting closer to Ayita. When their noses touched, both girls opened their mouths and kissed.

Eve felt Ayita’s tongue caress her own. It was different from kissing a guy, but also weirdly exciting.

When the song ended, so did the dance and the kiss, leaving Eve more confused then ever.

“I need to catch my train.” Ayita whispered.

Then the Cherokee girl turned around and walked away, leaving Eve alone on the dancefloor.

When Eve got back to her friends, Sylvie said, “Looks like you failed the test.”

“What test?” Eve asked.

But Sylvie and Lorena just smiled and refused to say anything more.

What happens next?
