Chapter 5 by Razor7826
What does Shannon do now?
Power-up and head for the industrial district.
Knowing the potential threat that the situation posed to her, Shannon chose to undergo her transformation before heading for the industrial district. Placing her left hand on her necklace and her right hand flat on her head, she recited the keycode to the ancient powers of the Rangers.
"Let our inner strength shine! Rangers of the heavens, fight!" With the completion of the code, Shannon's body became enveloped in white light. As her brilliance faded, it could be seen that she now wore a pink and white spandex suit, with a battle-helmet that appeared to be made out of plastic. A large visor covered her face.
"Okay! Let's go, everyone!" Then she realized she was alone. With a touch to her neck, Shannon teleported from the headquarters to Paper Street, the main boulevard through the rundown Industrial District. Sunnyvale used to be one of the main shipping hubs on the Western seaboard, but a series of recessions during the eighties doomed the local industry and turned many in the city to a life of crime. Of particular note was Boss Salzo, a former industrialist turned kingpin of the largest organized crime mafia in the country. While the rangers had suspected him for a long time, they, for the most part, did not waste their time on 'regular' crime, instead focusing on super villians, demons and aliens. In hindsight, such a policy would likely prove to quite harmful to Shannon's purity and freedom.
Realizing she was in the open, Shannon ducked into an alley and peeked around the corner. In eyesight and on just one city street, Shannon could see nine of the black vans that were spotted around the city where women went missing. Turning up her power-hearing on her helmet, Shannon could hear faint muffled screams and moans coming from the vans. Rigth on target, it seems.
By watching the movement of the vans for a few minutes, Shannon could tell which vans were returning their cargo to their destination and which vans were empty and hunting for more. Shannon leaped to the top of the building and followed the full vans, bounding from rooftop to rooftop, eventually reaching a large warehouse three blocks inland from the coast. Where as most of the buildings in the area had large glass windows twenty feet above the ground, this warehouse was completely boarded up, save for the main entrance. This was certainly the group's headquarters.
What should Shannon do?
