Power Vacuum

In a moment of pure male bravado you declare the day won for the kingdom. When Sophia isn't found after days who will rule is debated. You are pictured as the hero of the battle, and as the unofficial spouse to the unwed Queen, you were given a level of legitimacy. Sophia's studies are never found, and the kingdom goes on thinking she was a martyr of the saints. In the future she is known as Our Lady Saint Sophia. You become King of the kingdom and rule for many years despite border conflicts on the frontiers.
