Politely Inquire As To Why They Are Ignoring Me

"Girls," I say, turning to them, "Why are you ignoring me? Is it something i have done?"

Helen continues to ignore me, but Anna walks up to me, She gets close and says in a quiet voice, "Look, Helen has had a REALLY bad week, and she just thinks your hitting on her!"

I prepare to defend myself, despite the truth of the statement

"But i know you wouldn't do that," continues Anna, "So just leave us alone for a while, and i'll sort her out"

"OK," I say, "I'll leave, but she better be in a better nood for the hike, because the group'll be in a bad mood if any one person is!"

"Thanks," says Anna, and she gives me a peck on the cheek. I am not prepared for this and i blush. Nothing more is said though. Anna goes back to Helen, and I walk off.
