I did my best to hold her close while she cried, being sure to stay silent myself.
Suddenly, she pulled away, looking up at me.
"You really want a family with me?", she asked.
"Yes," I said, nodding.
She returned to the tears, until she pulled away from me again.
"You're not just saying that?", she asked me.
"No," I told her, shaking my head.
Finally, she entirely separated our bodies again.
"But everyone knows that I'm with Andy!", she stated. "If I'm going to have a family, it should be with him!"
"Yet you are BOTH very successful in careers that require you to travel," I observed. "While it's not the only thing, some would argue that yours is largely-based on how you look to the average man."
I was prepared to get a long speech in return. Instead, she was simultaneously motionless and silent, before she nodded, and hugged me once again, but this time, only briefly.
