Chapter 22 by Yabusa Yabusa

Take a ride to the warehouses, or stay here and mess around?

Playtime at the warehouses

"I don't want to hang around an old gas station," Ivy said, and James agreed.

"Yeah, let's get a move on to the warehouses. Luke, you were saying that Angel module could make someone into a motorcycle, right?"

Luke paused for a moment, thinking. "Yes, I can make Ivy rideable. But, I need to shed some of this excess internal mass to make the configuration work. James, I need you for something, come closer."

James stepped near Ivy, and orange slime sprung forth, wrapping around James again! Ivy couldn't help but shriek a little every time this happened, as it was like her body was uncontrollably consuming everything around her. Though, this was less of a consumption, and more of a deposit...

The slime retracted, and what was left in place of James was instead something very reminiscent to the Meteor V armor! All the weaponry had been removed, and it had been compressed similarly to how Ivy's body currently looked, so James didn't look like he was carrying around bulky classified military tech.

However, it wasn't exactly James anymore. Ivy blinked, reaching out to touch at James's face, since Luke had only encased James from the neck down at the moment. She was surprised by how different it looked, but also how familiar... dark brown locks cascaded down James's shoulders, as what looked like a young Mrs. Grisham looked at Ivy, puzzled. "What, what's wrong?"

Upon hearing his own voice, James realized what was different. That sounded nothing like himself, and the hair registered as different--his face looked like Luke's mom when she was 18! James put a mechanical hand to his face, feeling it. "Luke! What the hell is this!"

"I'm testing stuff out, gimme a break," Luke said, as James turned to look at his reflection--or, her reflection. The Yabusa armor flared out at the hips and had a pronounced growth at the chest in addition to the young brunette head on the mechanized body. James was quite beautiful like that, but she had been taken totally off-guard, staring for a while at the woman she now looked like.

Luke took the time while James was distracted to work on Ivy next, now with much more room to maneuver he seemed to have an easier time adjusting all the components in her! On her back grew two 'wings', the Yabusa Angel cowlings for the sportbike-styled design. Wheels were tucked into each of them, as Ivy's body changed further, with headlights affixed to her chest and handlebars growing out of her back as well! Extra padding ran along the small of her back, while boots and gloves designed to grip the wheel axles formed next. Taking some liberties, Luke tinted the Ascend faceplate fully, smoothing it out again to fit the aesthetic, looking sort of like the darkened windshield.

The two stood next to each other, staring in awe at what Luke had made of them--they were more like playthings for Luke than for each other at this point, and they were at the mercy of whatever he decided. But, what was clear was they had one rider, one ride. Luke took over after he grew bored of the staring, furling up the 'wings' such that the wheels appeared and the cowlings started to close in around Ivy. Her arms stretched out, chest protruded, as her head leaned back before the windscreen and front cowling moved in front of her face for protection. It looked somewhat uncomfortable to James; Ivy wasn't complaining if it was, at least.

Much of Ivy's body was hidden from view, as her feet mounted on the axle of the back wheel it became increasingly harder to tell it was even once a person! Rather, Ivy had disappeared into the guts of the sleek motorcycle, locked in place and ready to ride. All the electronics turned on, the electric engine at Ivy's stomach whirring quietly in anticipation of a rider. In the same vein, once Ivy had become fully wrapped up in the motorcycle, James's head became fully encased in a helmet, as now there was no trace of humans left in view.

"Can you hear me still?" Ivy said, though it came through in speakers over James's helmet.

"I can, can you hear me?"

"Yeah, I can. This feels so weird... but it's not bad." Ivy wasn't able to move, but at least being able to talk to her via the Ascend module was nice! "It feels like I'm holding a weird yoga pose or something. Like a modified upward dog. How, uh, do I look?" That last bit was intriguing to James, like Ivy was actually getting into the idea of being transformed into a vehicle.

"You're beautiful, I love seeing all these new things you're becoming," James said, hearing a giggle in return. "This looks like it's designed for Angel driver to take care of stuff, how are we gonna do this?"

Some visualizations came up in James's HUD, which he didn't even realize he had a HUD until then! "I gotcha covered," Luke said. I'm connecting the Ascend units to each other. I've embedded a transmitter in the Meteor suit, and Ivy's wearing the receiver, I'm taking care of the rest of the interface. So, when you're on the footpegs, just think about going faster or slower, like you want to make Ivy walk or run or stop. Lean into the turns and look where you want to go, and that'll translate to all the motion. This system is gyroscopically stabilized so you're not going to fall over if you lean too hard, but that will be how the system will know to engage a turn. Got it?"

"I think so," James said as she climbed onto the top of the Angel. She heard a happy sigh from Ivy when Ivy felt the weight of another person on her, settling in.

"This is weird, but... it's good," Ivy said. "They must have designed the systems to give positive feedback to the Angel user, right? To make them want to be a vehicle? I, uh... I mean I feel like I could ride all day, and we haven't even taken off!"

That statement didn't remain true for long, as James started to think--his mind pushed at Ivy's to encourage her to start moving. Amazingly, it worked, as another happy moan burst into James's earpieces, as Ivy felt James take control of her in a way she couldn't have even comprehended earlier that day, had she not been experiencing it now!

The motorcycle and her similarly-armored rider reached the main road, starting out slow but gradually building up speed. "Faster!" Ivy encouraged, and James didn't disappoint! He pushed the motor faster and faster, hearing the whine of the electric engine increase as they took to a main road at well beyond the accepted speed limit--but due to the electric engine, they were far less noisy than if a car had done the same, likely attracting far less attention. Still, after various warning indicators popped up in James's HUD, he chose a more legal speed, to Ivy's disappointment.

"You two adapt fast," Luke said. "It's actually kinda interesting. Both of those bodies are kind of a mix of all three of the Yabusa projects. When connected like this, it's like we're all sharing one single body, in a way, with how it's all connected up." Ivy and James blushed a bit at that. "And, uh. I can change your boyfriend's face back later if you want, Ivy, I just wanted to see how she'd look like that."

"No no, it's fine, leave James like that," Ivy said, slightly to James's dismay. Apparently she didn't get a say! "She's really cute, and it might seem weird, but I'm more comfortable with the idea of being used like this by a woman. Plus, the suit like that looks sexy, but if James's head was poking out I think it would be a bit silly."

Those two giggled for a while, and James could only roll his eyes and keep riding along. He had a lot of experience with motorcycles, since he used to ride dirtbikes with family, but this was his first time on the road with something like this. It was surprising how intuitive everything was, though, as he navigated the streets. There were plenty of onlookers, quite a few catcalls--confusing for James, given it was her armored body they were interested in--and undoubtedly a few cell phone pictures taken along the way. James only hoped Luke had made enough modifications to the exterior to not be recognized as Yabusa R&D models...

After a while of riding, the duo end up at the warehouses in construction that Luke had mentioned. The company had only partially built them, while they and the city were in court over various aspects of the project, so construction was halted--namely, no roofs, although all the walls were upright. Luke seemed to be busy disabling various security around the area, and it surprised James just how easily he was able to do all that. It was like Luke had become this mechanical mastermind, all he had to do was be able to absorb electronics and he gained knowledge over all their secrets...

James rode Ivy's Angel-self up into the loading bay of one of the entrances into the warehouse, and parked her inside. Once James climbed off, her helmet retracted and Ivy unfurled back into a humanoid once again, the cowlings fanned out like angel's wings to give legitimacy to the moniker.

"Yeah, this'll do just fine," Luke said, satisfied. "So, you've tried the bike form, maybe I make Ivy into a taur again and let her roam around? You could be like the Black Knight riding your centaur steed. Or I could put the Angel tech on James, and the Ichabod frame on Ivy, and we could have a race!" Luke said with a chuckle, while the look in Ivy's eyes suggested she might really enjoy any of those options, dying to try out more. She glanced James's way, looking at the new face atop that Meteor armor. "We could also try some of the combat capabilities of the Meteor. I have enough material stored up to make two full loadouts, one for each body. I know I wouldn't mind seeing two armored ladies in one place."

What sounds like the most fun for the group?
