Playing video games before dinner

Gary, Bernie, Sandy, and Peter gathered on the couch in the Walkers' TV room. No one was actually undressed yet -- that would wait till after dinner -- but everyone was dressed down to loose T-shirts and shorts. Even inside the house with curtains drawn, the sultry summer warmth hung in the air, especially here on the sunny afternoon side of the house.

"Kathryn and Bryan aren't really gamers?" Gary asked.

"Naw," Peter said. "Kathryn said video games can make her feel seasick. Her vision or something, I dunno. She's fine, she was chatting up my mom about something in the kitchen, and Bryan was hanging off her elbow, they're almost as tight as you and Bernie."

Sandy added, "Plus Kathryn saw the intro to this one and thought it was kind of squicky."

"Oh?" Bernie said. "How's that?"

Peter clicked a button on his video controller. "Watch."
