When I got to Ginia's place I turned the car off and we just sat, saying nothing, thinking.

Ginia went first, “What do we do now M? Where do we go from here?”

“I think we back completely off and see what happens over the next day or so.”

“You think it's that serious M?”

“Yes, going by the look on Joe's face, yes. No way Benny's coming out of this in one piece.”

“Oh my God, should we go ..”

“NO! NO! absolutely not.”

“Oh and, Gin, while I think about it, that recording on your phone, dump it, delete it.”

“What about the video on your phone? Shouldn't you get rid of that?”

“I'll chance it for now or might download it to my work PC. Don't worry I'll sort it honey, OK?”

“Mike, this isn't all over Liz's little problem is it? I mean beating the shit out of somebody because they were having late night what-ever in your bar is a bit extreme, don't you think?”

“Yeah, no there's more to it, what, I don't know, but definitely more than late night party's.”

“The other thing I don't know Gin is how far the two event's or people overlap, maybe Devon and Alexis are more involved in this other stuff, I know for sure Liz wouldn't be but she could of well ended up stuck in the middle of it. One things for sure I do not want you to be caught up in it. If you hadn't got Joe talking tonight, God if we never went to that friggin' bar tonight, geez I hate to think what could of happened. I might of well lost my cool, said something I didn't mean tomorrow and ended up in jail on a murder charge for something I hadn't done.”

“WHAT! MURDER, ARE ...are you saying you think they're going to murder Benny Mike!?”

“No, no, no, sorry Ginia, wrong choice of words, no, no, not.” Me and my big mouth!

“OK so we cool it and see what happens ok Gin? You can still do your thing with Liz tomorrow but other than that we need to see the repercussions and how far they go. Oh and our story is we were doing a look around for our Canadian friends with the thought of taking them to the club Saturday night, Ok?”

“Makes sense M, ok, are you going home now? You don't want to come in?”

“Honey, I'd love too, but I need an alibi and ironically Liz can give me one, well provided she isn't guilty, shit that doesn't bare thinking about, plus if it leaves you out of the picture all the better, so no I'll get going. I need to see how Liz and Leigh's chat went. Oh and don't worry I'm not gonna kick Liz's ass out, in fact I'm thinking I'll make her live in the house with Leigh, that should be a lesson in itself for her cheating ass.” We both laughed.

“So if you're serious about that Mike, what will you do?”

“Don't know hun, one day at a time at the moment, got through today, tomorrow's another day. Wait and see, hell I might start writing a crime novel, I've got enough to start one.”
