Plans for the future

Eve half expects Michael to refuse to let Ayita in, but he welcomes her with a big smile. Sally, on the other hand, seems surprisingly unhappy, but the black guy didn't let her time to complain.
"Ok, this meeting will involve a few more people that it usually does. We will have a lot of work to do this year, so we decided to expand our staff. The other people won't take long."

Eve frowns. "I don't understand. I thought passing the Mandate was the big part. We won, didn't we?"

"I see it as just the beginning." Michael asserts. "We won't be victorious until there's no more racism. Coud you say this fight is over?"

"No." the blond girl admits. "But..."

"Then it's not over." Sally interrupts her. "We cannot afford to rest on our laurels."

As she finishes, the door suddenly opens and Eve turns around to face two strangely familiar girls, an Asian and a white brunette. It takes her a few seconds to realize she saw them in the porn videos the Committee published on its website for propaganda. Her eyes almost pop out of her head when it occurs to her that the white one is Johnathan's sister. The brunette apparently notices the student body president looking at her and walks to her to greet her. "Hi, you're Eve, right? I'm Leslie, I'm a big fan. What you did for our cause is so awesome!"

"I'm Chen Zhu." the little Asian girl added. "I'm glad to meet you too."

Eve shakes their hands, a little impressed as always when somebody expresses admiration toward her.

"I hope you don't fall for it." Ayita whispers in her hear. "I already played the groupie card with you, and there's no room for another fangirl in your life."

The blond giggles. Her girlfriend always knows when she's nervous and needs her to calm her down.

"Well, my sister is a big fan of YOU." Eve answers to Leslie. "Would you mind signing me an authograph so I cold give it to her?"

She frowns. "Really? Why would she... O..." She suddenly blushes and pales at the same time. "O... Is it about... Of course it is..."

"Hey, don't worry!" the Student Body President exclaims. "I've already seen everybody in this room naked, even though some of them were on screen. You're no exception, you just happen to have shut your brother's mouth for some time."

"Yeah." Sally admits. "That's something for which we will be eternally grateful to you."

"And also appreciative." Michael adds. "It's quite a feat, for what I saw. Or heard."

Leslie laughs loudly. "And you've just seen the tip of the iceberg. Or heard it."

"Anyway, everything's here, so it's time for the meeting." the black guy concludes. "Take a seat, we have to talk."
Once everybody is installed, he continues.
"First thing first, the campaign from last year was a big success, and I have to congratulate everybody here for this. But as big an achievement as it was, it was still narrowed to just one university. It's a victory, but a small victory if you consider how many people in this country aren't concerned at all by what's going on here. Not only that, but actually few peoples even in this city heard about it. But that's about to change."

He takes a pause to give his audience the time to let the hype grows, and adds "We've been contacted by a local news channel. They want to interview us to talk about the Mandate. That's the occasion to make our movement spread nationwide."

Everybody remained silent for a few seconds, then everybody started screaming, exclaiming and jubilating at the same time.

"That's awesome," Eve declared, "but you didn't ask me to come just to inform me."

He nods. "You're right. I want you to become officially a honorary member of the committee. You could participate to the interview and other actions, and be a figurehead for us. You're charismatic, hardworking, and you're already a sympathizer of our cause."

Eve hesitates and looks at Ayita, before going back to Michael. "You know this year will be really special for me. I can't guarantee I will be able too help in a few months."

"And I won't ask you to. But if you can lend us a hand without overworking yourself, that would be great."

She looks back at Ayita. The Cherokee girl sighed. "Hey, you don't need my permission. Go save the world, Supergirl. However..." She turns to Michael "You better stay true to your word if you don't want me to chase you down to hell and back. If anything happens to Eve or our baby, you will have a new Indian war just for you. Deal?"

"Deal." he calmly answers. "Don't forget it might be my baby too."

She stays silent for a few seconds, looking at him hostilely, then adds "And I want to be part of the Committee."

"You serious?"

"Yup. This way I will be able to keep an eye on you while scalping the fuck out of racial prejudice."

He chuckles. "Fine. Welcome to the Diversity Committee. Anyway, even though we have to think about expending our movement geographically, we must also not forget to reinforce it here. We took roots in this university, now we need to grow new fruits."

"What do you mean?" Leslie asks.

"We should pass another mandate this year. This time, we won't stop at interracial sex. We must think about the next generation." He takes some time to look at each of them one by one, then adds "We should pass a breeding mandate forcing the students from this university to get pregnant and give birth to at least one baby from mixed descent."
