Chapter 9 by anxietycatalyst anxietycatalyst

What happens next?

Planning the first outing

It was about a month after that first night when Weiss finally heard more about her new...arrangement with Blake. It was the middle of the day, and Weiss had grown somewhat tired of the cafeteria food at Beacon, opting to go to a café in town. The others weren't feeling up to it, meaning Weiss was by herself.

As she sat down at a little corner table, Weiss felt her scroll buzz in her purse. Looking down, she saw she had a text from Blake.

B: Are you still interested in my proposal?

Weiss paused before answering. She had been enthralled by the idea initially. She still was, but she wasn't going to blindly agree to something of this.

W: Possibly. What did you have in mind?

It wasn't long before Blake sent a response of her own.

B: Nothing major. I wouldn't want to push you too far, for your first time.

Weiss found herself smiling slightly at Blake's compassion. It felt nice to know someone was actually thinking of her wellbeing.

B: I was thinking we simply walk around the courtyard, at night. Very little risk of anyone else being out that late.

W: You sound like you've done this before

B: Perhaps I have

That last message also included a smirking emoji, which Weiss found amusing.

W: When were you thinking of doing this?

B: Tonight. Not many people will be out on a Wednesday night

Weiss hesitated before responding

W: I see

B: Will that be a problem for you?

W: No. As you said, we're less likely to be seen tonight. Better do it then.

After some more discussing, the two of them agreed to set out after midnight, when Ruby and Yang were sure to be asleep

..........

The rest of the day passed without incident. Like all other days, team RWBY stripped down and climbed into bed, settling in for another night of rest.

As the lights went out, Weiss could feel her heart beating a mile a minute. There was no chance of her getting any rest before this outing. She was far too wound up. Whether that was from excitement or dread was difficult to say.

Some time later, Weiss heard some rustling from the opposite side of the room. Then, footsteps that were almost too silent to hear. In moments, Weiss could faintly make out the silhouette of the faunus girl, the faint moonlight barely illuminating the outer edges of her body. If Weiss were a photographer, she would be tempted to take a picture to capture the mysterious aura it gave her.

"Are you ready?" Blake asked, leaning down and whispering so only Weiss could here.

Weiss thought for a moment. She could still turn back, now. She hadn't committed to anything binding. Only Blake would know she chickened out.

Does Weiss go through with it?
