Piracy!

“Cargo Ship approaching from the East!” James calls from above.

Kato grabs the steer watching her crew prepare for easy target. She looks down to see Shi mumbling to herself. “Due East!” She shouts to her crew spinning the steer. Outlander begins to move around.

Ada prepares the weapons with Emmett. Elena takes on the job of preparing the gas tanks. James changes the colors as they grow closer to contact. The cargo ship continues to move closer.

Kato takes a closer look at the ship that is coming. Crew members scurrying around preparing for contact. “Scared shit less over there.” She says to herself. Pulling a nearby lever the seer falls below hiding from the action that is to come.

Time passes as they arrive next to the cargo ship. Kato dressed in fine clothing while her crew hides ready for the call. Stepping over to the other side to talk to the captain of the ship.

“State your business ma’am!” A tall lanky fellow speaks. Wearing a long black suit with a tall black top hat. Goggles over his eyes making his pupils larger then they appear. Two mechanical legs that seem to operate independently with a stiffness to them. A mechanical bird chirping on his right shoulder. His crew silent and bit skeptical of the lady in front of them.

“What type of cargo you got below!” she says circling the man.

Boldly responding to her “This cargo is going to the Southern Cities. None of your business what type of cargo we have!”

Kato stops mid-step. Walking back to stare him in the face speaking soft enough so only he can hear “My crew has enough ammo down below to obliterate this ship with my call.”

The man gulps hard with his eyes growing even larger by those words. He turns to his crew before looking back at Kato “There is enough rations below for six months, please save us one month rations ma’am.”

“Three weeks.”

He nods and Kato whistles for her crew to move out. His crew helps them take it over graciously. Leaving three weeks of rations behind as agreed. Before Kato leaves the captain calls her to his office.

Walking in to his room full of maps. Not a square inch wasn’t covered in maps of some sort. “Have you heard anything about the Two Moon Religion has been up to?” he asks her quizzically.

“Propaganda.”

He pulls out an old book from behind his desk “Ah, out east they are dominating the continent with fear. Some of my own men have had thoughts of joining or killing themselves for them.”

“What is it you wish to tell me that I’m not aware of captain?” Kato puts her hands down on his desk staring him in the eyes.

“They possess a device of unknown origin that is powerful enough too…”

“The Lustful Device” Kato finishes his sentence for him.

“That’s a myth!?”

“I have been informed that it is not a myth sir” Kato grabs his book brushing through it before finding the page that talks of the mythological device. An image of it appears with ancient text describing it. “I have a seer as captive, and what I have been told is it is real.”

Taken aback by the information given to him “Your plan is to steal from them I presume?”

“I don’t know what I will do once I receive it , but I do know is that I will own it.” Kato closes the book and taking it with her. Walking out with the captain silent on the issue. She walks over to her ship and begins the journey south.
