Evidentally, Ben hadn't seen him at all, not even when they'd been standing no more than five feet away from each other. Poor guy must be real choked up. Unfortunately, Hunter's not too sure that he cares. The chance of a lifetime has presented itself, and yet, duty calls. He could hop in his car and tail Madeline before she gets too far, or he could make an appearance at Ben's to cover his own ass.

As he lifts the handle to the driver's side door of his car, he's nearly certain that he's making the correct decision.
