Racing to the Mutant Research Facility housing the cure that could permanently nullify a mutants power, the X-men travel by air in the X-Jet. Alongside her "family", the X-men. Kitty was feeling what the others were surely feeling, Fear. While trying to relax reaching for her cup of water resting in the seat's cup holder, Kitty notices that, from the elbow up, her arm was phasing out of her sleeve. Shocked, Kitty rests her arm back into her sleeve and concentrated, regaining control of her power. But for how long?
