Peter makes a discovery

After quite a bit making out, Felicia finally pulled away from the kiss much to Peter's chagrin.

"You know, I think I could use a bath." Felicia smiled. "Care to join me?"

"Yes," Peter quickly replied before sadly remembering something. " But in a minute. There's something I want to check out first."

"Alright I'll fill up the tub." Felicia said. "Don't keep me waiting."

With that, Felicia turned around and marched towards the bathroom, her hips swinging freely with every step. Peter nearly swooned. He felt a massive urge to follow her but was stopped by another urge. His spider sense. For a while now, Pete's sixth sense had been telling him something was wrong. That this incident might not be fully resolved, and now that he knew he was shacking up in the home of an Alchemex scientist he assumed the two must be related.

Looked over to his side Peter saw a light blue robe hanging over an empty chair. He quickly grabbed it and slipped it on now dressed for the first time since he and Black Cat landed in the park. While spending some naked time with Felicia was blast, Spidey had to admit it felt pretty good to be wearing clothes again. He walked over to the scientist's desk and sat down at the computer. Peter turned the computer on and started reviewing all its files specifically those related to the chemical that had melted all his and Felicia's clothes. Scrolling through various notes and theorems Peter learned that the gas, officially called Compound N, was originally created as an environmental cleaner meant to destroy inorganic trash and pollutants without harming the natural environment. However, the project had recently be hijacked by Alchemex's weapons development program. They wanted to strengthen the chemical turning it into a bioweapon capable of destroying major infrastructure.

"Well, I can see why SHIELD wanted this out of their hands." Peter said to himself. "But maybe it's best I stopped Felicia from delivering it. Better no one has something like this."

Peter continues to read the scientist's notes. He followed his pivot from environmental preservation to bioweapon development. The scientist outlines two hurdles that had stalled the upgrading of Compound N. The first problem was strengthening the chemical corrosion factor. Originally the chemical took weeks to break down inorganic matter but to make it work as a weapon he needed to shorten that to a few minutes. The scientist had worked diligently to hasten Compound N's corrosive ability but, since his last entry, had only managed to succeed with disintegrating clothes and fabrics.

"Well that explains what happened in the lab." Peter said scratching his head as he scrolled down. "Now the second problem was...wait...wait what!"

Peter stood up shocked at what he was reading. He leaned over towards the screen and reread the scientists' notes over and over again, hoping he was mistaken. Sadly, he wasn't.

"This can't be it has to be a joke or something right?" Peter said delirious. He stood there panicking when, for seemingly no reason, his robe suddenly slid off his body and fell to the floor leaving Spectacular Spider-man naked once again.

"Oh God," Peter cried looking down at himself. "Felicia!"

Peter ran over towards the bathroom not even bothering to pick up the robe. He entered and found Felicia sitting on the edge of the tub in a bath towel. She had filled the bath with warm water, bath salts, and bubble bath. All they needed was wine, and they'd have everything they needed for a relaxing morning soak. Felicia turned to see her naked lover at the door and quickly stood up.

"Took you long enough Spider." Black Cat said with a smile. "I was worried I'd have to start without you."

"Felicia, we have a problem."

"Oh, Peter Parker always thinking of work. Whatever it is, I'm sure it can wait until later. For now, let's just enjoy some down time." Felicia said before placing her arms on her hips only to be met with a strange sensation. Even though she was wearing a towel felt nothing, but skin when she touched her side. Looking down Felicia's eyes widened at the sight of the giant hole in the side of her towel. No of the many giant holes in her towel. Over half of the white fabric was completely gone!

"What the," Felicia screamed before the already ruined towel fell from her form leaving her as naked as Peter.

"The Second problem," Peter said plainly.

"What?"

"Compound N, the chemical you stole had a defect. Their attempts to strengthen the gas's corrosive ability had an unforeseen side effect." Peter explained "The Compound now attaches itself to any organic matter it comes across while maintaining all its properties."

"You can't mean," Felicia said. Panic sweeping in as she processed what Spidey was telling her. "Haha No no no no. No way. No!"

"We've got some new powers," Peter said with an empty smile, "Our skin melts clothes."
