John always did enjoy talking about his hobbies. He might not have a great social life but he still found time every year to go to comic book conventions and play online games with other people. Maybe that would be the best place to start? After all, what use is getting John in a relationship if it falls apart immediately? With this, he'll at least have a definite relationship even if it is just geeking out over the latest video game trailers. Now to find a few of these people.

First up we have Melanie March. Wow, this girl is a stereotype. Small bodied, short, and almost painfully awkward socially, Melanie is almost like an 26 year old John. Sad, really. Then again, it seems that they've actually been in contact with each other about comic book theories. Granted it was anonymously through chat rooms but it's still better than nothing. A few surprise conversations here and there as well as liberal access to her hobbies (and camera and internet history) will make this relationship start with a bang.

Next we have Katie "Kay" Connors. Blonde, attractive, and ridiculously proud of herself, Kay is actually living a double life. During the day she's the popular 19 year old mean girl who excels at everything and at night when no one (and I mean NO ONE) is looking she shows her mastery of online gaming under the tag of Extinction. With John's talent with gaming (as well as a little 'help' from his beloved Haley) mixed with Kay's own refusal to accept defeat, it would be child's play (Hah!) to get her to raise the stakes in order to earn her record back.

Then again Hina Takahashi may be the best choice. An 18 year old Japanese girl who got into anime while studying her family's culture, it seems that she became an Otaku of the highest degree. If it features anime, this girl most likely knows it. Plus, as an addition, she has the perfect mix of Kay's and Melanie's social lives. Plenty of friends with similar interests while still being willing to leave her comfort zone. She may be just what John needs to get out there.

Then again there are still quite a number of choices...
