What's next?
Peaceful Morning.

The morning light filtered in, casting a soft glow on Esther's face as she stirred from sleep beside me. “Oh, I'm sorry, Jasper,” she said, her voice heavy with sleep, “I didn't mean to wake you up.”
I stifled a yawn, shaking off the remnants of sleep. “Don't worry about it,” I replied, concern seeping into my voice as I cautiously asked, “How are you feeling?”
“I feel great,” she giggled softly, a happy glint in her eyes, “It's as if I've accomplished a long-standing goal.” She gave me a quick peck on the cheek before slipping out of the tent. “I'm going to start making breakfast for everyone,” she added, leaving the tent with a joyful bounce in her step.
I lay back on the bedroll, staring at the roof of the tent. It was hard not to worry about Esther, despite Cyrus's assurances. But for now, at least, she seemed happy. Turning my gaze to Nia, who was sleeping in an awkward position yet looking absolutely adorable, I couldn't help but smile.
Feeling a surge of energy, I pulled myself off the bedroll and stretched, feeling my muscles wake up. It was a strange feeling, the vitality pumping through me felt different from any I'd experienced before.
Exiting the tent, I was greeted by the pre-dawn glow of the rising sun just peeking over the hills. I made my way over to where Esther was tending to the fire pit, the flame flickering and dancing against the growing light of day.
Watching the fire grow from a spark to a steady, warm flame, I couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility settle over me. The morning was still young, the camp was peaceful, and for now, at least, everything seemed to be okay.
