Part Seven

Making his way into Grayson Global with Cindy quickly following beside him, Peter brought Cindy with him into the elevator and together they rode up to the top floor of the building where they made their way across the floor, heading towards Peter's office.

"Morning boss," Bella greeted Peter with a happy smile before turning her attention to Cindy once she realised Peter wasn't alone. "Good morning, Cindy,"

"Morning Bella." Both Peter and Cindy responded.

"It's actually great you're already in," Peter said to Bella. "Cindy and Phoebe got suspended from school so as part of their punishment Cindy is gonna help out here. You got any work for Cindy?"

"Yeah, I'm sure we can find a few things for her to do around here," Bella answered. "Oh and Garfield and Sean are trying to get a hold of you about a meeting with Weston International, Wendy's left a few dozen calls asking for you to give her a call back and Jess is waiting for you in your office."

"Well, I better not keep Jess waiting, book a time for the meeting with Garfield and Sean, and let Wendy know I'll try and call her back whenever I've got time," Peter told Bella. "And make sure Cindy gets some work done."

"I will, I'm not Phoebe." Cindy reminded Peter.

"I know sweetie," Peter said with a smile. "I'll see you later. We can get lunch."

"Ok." Cindy nodded in agreement.

Leaving Cindy, Peter made his way into his office where he found his older half-sister and the other CEO of Grayson Global, Jessica Grayson waiting for him. Jessica Grayson had long blonde hair, green eyes, and a slim build and she wore a blouse that highlighted her large breasts and a knee-length skirt that accentuated her curvy ass.

"Are my eyes deceiving me or can I see Cindy out there with Bella?" Jessica commented as Peter settled into his office.

"She's there. She and Phoebe got suspended from school so this is their punishment. Cindy is working here and Phoebe is with Asa." Peter explained.

"Wow, what they did they do?" Jessica curiously asked.

"Fighting. Somebody must have said something against Cindy and the girls stuck up for each other but it ended in a fight where they got suspended." Peter explained.

"A bit harsh of punishment then especially since it wasn't their fault," Jessica commented.

"They got suspended a week before graduation. We couldn't just let them off easily with just a grounding." Peter pointed out. "And besides Mom and Dad did the same thing to me when I got suspended, remember?"

"And you hated every minute of it," Jessica recalled. "I had to sneak you out of the house just so you weren't all moody," Jessica added. "Changed your life if I remember rightly."

"It did," Peter said, thinking about how if Jessica never sneaked him out of the manor and taken him to a small pool party Kelsey McNamara had thrown at her home, he would never have started a flirtatious friendship with the older blonde that would lead to her taking his virginity. "I don't think nostalgia is why you wanted to meet." Peter pointed out. "What's up?"

"I just really wanted to check how the dinner with the Marlowes went," Jessica told Peter.

"It went well. They're still on board." Peter told his sister as his mind briefly thought about the Marlowe's offer.

"What was that? That look of..." Jessica said in realisation. "Did something happen last night?"

"No, nothing happened," Peter shook his head before sighing. "Except they kind of offered to swing with us..."

"Swing with? Like with you and Asa?" Jessica said in surprise. "What did she say? And did you?"

"Asa was in agreement with me. That we aren't a couple and that we weren't interested." Peter responded.

"And they were okay with that?" Jessica said surprised. "Just most people would..."

"Well, they didn't. In fact, they said they were going to keep investing because of how well you and I run this place." Peter told Jessica.

"That's good to know. And it's good you didn't mix business with pleasure. That never works out well. Well, best be off, I do need to get some work done," Jessica said before turning to leave however she stopped and looked back at Peter. "Oh and before I forget, the London office called. They wanted confirmation on when you'd be going down there..."

"I... I'll give them a call once I got a date myself," Peter responded.

"You haven't told Phoebe then?" Jessica said in realisation.

"No, I haven't had the right moment to tell her or Cindy or even Asa," Peyer sighed. "But I will and I'll let London know after."

"Good," Jessica told Peter. "Because London needs you there."

Making their way towards Asa's office that morning, the older blonde parked her car on the way outside of RC Coffee Lounge, where after climbing out and making their way into the two-storey building that contained several booths, tables, and chairs, kitchen, storage room, and staff room with a second floor also containing more space with even more booths and tables, Asa and Phoebe placed their orders at the counter and waited.

"At least with you I'm not just fetching coffee but getting some too." Phoebe jested.

"Only because I know you'll need the energy," Asa commented. "And who said you won't be fetching me coffee."

"Aw please no!" Phoebe whined and Asa simply laughed.

"Oh my God!" A voice belonging to a man with brown hair, green eyes, and an athletic build interrupted them. "Asa O'Reilly? It's been far too long!"

"Martin?" Asa said in surprise upon recognising one of her fellow psychology classmates from Redwater University. "Martin Harris?"

"The one and only," Martin said with a smile. "Wow, you look incredible."

"Hi, I'm Phoebe. Asa's daughter." Phoebe piped in causing both adults to look at the teenager.

"Hi. Daughter, you said?" Martin said before looking at Asa. "You and Hollie did it then. Got the family you always wanted."

"Um..." Asa winced before saying. "Hollie passed several years ago."

"Oh right, I'm sorry," Martin quickly apologised. "I didn't know. I'm sorry, you two were really good together."

"We were." Asa agreed. "What about you? I heard you moved out of town. You married? Got any kids?"

"I did move. I'm visiting my folks here and I never really found the special someone or the right person to have kids with." Martin admitted.

"We should go or else we're gonna be late, Mom," Phoebe said as the barista called their names and the pair got their drinks.

"Yeah, we should." Asa agreed. "It was good to see you, Martin."

"You too, Asa," Martin responded before addressing Phoebe. "Nice to meet you."

"Yeah, sure," Phoebe said while rolling her eyes at the older man. "Let's go," Phoebe said and together they were about to leave when Martin spoke up.

"Wait... Hold on..." Martin said as he looked at Asa before taking a card out of his pocket and handing it to her.

"What is this?" Asa asked as she looked at the card.

"My business card but its got my number on it," Martin told Asa. "Call me and maybe we can catch up properly."
