Pack, then leave

"I think you look perfect, as is." You say, looking the former object of your teenaged desire up and down. Catalina smiles, appreciatively. The two of you resolve to pack and then set off immediately, walking close to each other as you return to your rooms.

As you duck into your room, you notice Cole's there. Reclining naked on his bed, his cock flaccid for once.

"There you are!" He exclaims, delighted to see you. "You've missed so mu-" You hold up a hand to stop your roommate.

"Sorry, but I can't stay." You say, moving efficiently to make up a pack. You're actually rather lucky you've only just moved up to this level.

"Another secret mission?" Cole says in disbelief. "Maker's breath, Empress Celene must have spies, honest to goodness spies, who see less action that you do!"

"What can I say, First Enchanter likes me." You shrug. Cole joins you at the side of your bed.

"You do have that effect on people." He says, with a little smile.

"Well since I won't be seeing you for a while..." He continues, taking your face in his hands.

Cole kisses you, passionately and firmly. At first you're surprised at him. Then, you're just surprised he's a better kisser than half the women you've been with.

You happily reciprocate, giving your smarmy, athletic roommate a little tongue. After a few moments, your mouths part.

"Now you've got a reason to hurry back." Cole says cockily. Smug bastard, you think. But still, he's not exactly wrong. If you and Catalina weren't on so tight a schedule...

Saying your farewells, you take your pack and head outside. Catalina joins you, after giving her elven roommate a hug goodbye.

The two of you set forth into the countryside, soon leaving the tower behind you. Your plan is to make for the Waking Sea, secure passage to the Free Marches and track down Bethany's group from there. Part of you is worried. Despite Lady Vivienne's assurances, you will be crossing terrain the fighting has spread to.

But surely, two mages had nothing to fear?
