Out Back

You all decide to check the backyard. And just as you suspected, scorched four-toed footprints were each spaced over a yard apart, paired with rounded rectangular marks that was undoubtedly his flaming fists...

"Grodd..." you growl softly.

"Right," said Lantern. "But was he alone?" You squatted down closer to the ground, lightly moving your hand over it to examine any traces left by his harem. As it happened, you found three sets of shoe prints alongside Grodd's. Although overlapped by one trail of footprints, another set was a bit narrower...

"Diana..." you sighed. Pushing off from your legs helped you to stand. "She, Hawkgirl and Harley went with the big, bad ape. But the others must've went off in a different direction..." After figuring who went where, you three had to come up with a strategy to get everyone back.

You shared an idea that had crossed your mind: "Maybe I can go after the others, while you guys go after the heavy hitters of Grodd's platoon." They both seemed a little uneasy about letting you face odd numbers.

"I don't know, kid," John argued.

"We'll need all the strength we have to face him," Batman reasoned out.

"I can handle it. And plus, if you guys need help, I'll be there in a snap." You smiled reassuringly, and since there was little time to waste arguing, they reluctantly agreed to finally split up from you.

Running through the woods, you decide to secretly let some other hero have the limelight. Plus, thinning the hoard would weaken some of the gorilla's strength. 'Hang on, girls,' you thought. 'We're coming to help.'
