One hell of a heavy dose of reality

'Fuck!', Blair thought as Zane's health was quickly returning, but she happened to notice something out of the corner of her eye. Master Tong was performing some sort of ritual, a rift was starting to form in front of him, pulling the air around it in a circular motion. Hmm, perhaps this was part of why she needed to hold Zane off for only a minute. She playfully smiled while lifting a hand and said. "I don't know if you remember, but there was something very interesting in that little contract you had me sign. It stated that if you betrayed me without dissolving the contract first. Well, I would be given quite the compensation." She was bluffing, but this was only to buy more time while casting Nature's Will, she was hoping that while focusing her mind on the random elemental option of the void, that she would be granted its power. - 50 Mp Sadly, she was not so fortunate, the result this time was an earth elemental appearing from the ground before her. A new icon just below her Bone Dragon's appeared, its health and mana were on display with a 1 minute timer beside it. This earth elemental was like none she had ever seen in any story, game, or had ever imagined, its form was that of a woman, upon her head was what looked like normal hair, no, wait those were sand crystals chained together, but they looked very similar to hair from a distance, there were yellow gem stones for eyes, but there wasn't a nose or mouth. Further inspection revealed a rather interesting figure to Blair, this elemental had an ample bust made of grey stone with green moss covering it, her eyes followed it downwards, that moss ran all the way down to where its calves would be, if it were human.

It looked around noticing Blair's Bone Dragon first, then it looked at Zane, who started to laugh and said. "Cute, already learning to lie, are we? I must say, you aren't very good at it, Blair." She heard a whisper in her mind from that elemental in an firm feminine voice. "I am not a fighter, but I can grant one of three powerful boons, mistress. Each of these shall last for one minute. Shall I grant Stoneskin, Earthen Halo, or Balance of the Earth?" As the elemental spoke to Blair's mind, three ability icons appeared near her elemental's mana bar. She looked over them quickly.

Stoneskin: Reduces all damage taken by 50% by the summoner and their allies for 1 minute. Cost: 400 Mp

Earthen Halo: Summons 6 dense stones in a halo above the summoner's head, these stones will home in on nearby enemies. These stones deal 200% of the summoner's Strength and Intellect in damage each. Only one stone per target, can be flung within 5 seconds. Lasts up to 1 minute. Cost: 400 Mp

Balance of the Earth: Makes the summoner and their allies unable to be affected by status affects of any kind for 1 minute. While this effect is active, any affects that would throw off the effected target's balance, is also negated. Cost: 400 Mp

Blair quickly looked at each option and felt her best realistic option was Stoneskin, as nice as Earthen Halo was, it was unlikely she could get all of them to hit Zane, worse yet, he could possibly turn them against her even if they would do 246 (246.477) damage each. She knew all to well that one hit from that plus one of Zane's powerful strikes and she would be toast. Earthen Balance, well, that just wasn't useful here. She sent a mental command back to her elemental, saying. "Stoneskin, I need the protection it brings. I am curious though, what am I to call you?" The elemental bowed its head slightly, its mana bar depleted itself as a thin layer of stone crept over Blair's body and her Bone Dragon's, covering them from head to toe, their outward appearance looked rather similar to the elemental's grey stone body. The last thing Blair heard from the elemental as it disappeared was, 'You shall know it, if we meet again.'

Zane grit his teeth when Blair's body was covered in a layer of stone before saying. "I see, using underhanded tactics to muster any power you can." His stance changed yet again as a fiery glow enveloped his form, he pulled out pair of shiny silver knuckles from his pockets while continuing to speak. "I admit, I didn't think you would be worth pulling out my Knuckles of Justice, but I should have known better. I shouldn't take it easy on beautiful women, especially tainted ones like you." Blair felt a little flattered by his words, but ugh, this was life or ****, not a dating show.

She let out a breath while bringing her hands up to her sides, ready to defend or strike, her eyes watched Zane carefully as another second passed before Zane seemed to vanish, she didn't have a chance to move when she felt a blunt yet sharp pain behind her head. This pain and that hit sent her slightly forward, - 1 Mp, (275 reduced by Stoneskin, 110 reduced by Cuteness) - 165 Hp, her Bone Dragon moving to Swipe at Zane on its own, sending Zane flying back for 200 damage. She quickly cast Mother Earth's Blessing on herself, restoring 50 health instantly, a second later the first of 5 ticks for 10 health kicked in. + 60 Hp, - 75 Mp

Zane struck her dragon twice again, but it had very little effect this time. 150 x 2 - 50% = 150 damage She shook her head then turned around, moving slowly to kick in her Way of the Tide's, 10% damage taken reduction.

A momentary glance revealed her quest had only 15 seconds left til her time was up, but would she make it at this rate? Master Tong was too busy to assist, but at least the Stoneskin was helping her Bone Dragon a ton, but would it be enough? What awaited Blair after the time was up? Was it game over? Would help arrive through Master Tong's rift? Or would Zane stop them? Oh no, would Zane have backup arrive!?
