One Sided Battle

You stand face to face in front of not just a powerful looking enemy, but a servant to the one who created this infection. The Hydreigon roars out loudly. It looks strong, but you can't back down. The dragon lunged at you with its maws, but you dodge it effortlessly with your agility. You unleash a Thunderbolt attack, but it doesn't appear to be seriously hurt. You were about to use it again, but the dragon then lets out a terrible screech, forcing you to cover your ears from the pain. 'That screech attack! I can feel the ringing in my ears. Great Arceus, this isn't some ordinary nightmare, this is a move! I've been given a real nightmare!'

The dragon spins around and swung at you with its tail. You weren't aware of the situation and was hit hard with the impact knocking you to the ground. You groan from the pain as you got back up. You start of with Agility, then follow it up with an Iron Tail at him, but the Hydreigon dodges it and grabs you before you hit the ground. “L..Let me go!" You struggle immensely, but you can't break free from the dragon's grasp.

“It's surprising how you made it this far. You couldn't even make this interesting." The Hydreigon sounds disappointed. “I thought about having you for myself, but I find it more enjoyable to see you preyed upon by others." As he finished, he drops you which lands your body on your back as the dragon roars out loud, nearly deafening you. When you opened your eyes, he was gone, but you find yourself surrounded by a horde of infected. You try to get up, but the pain is too much. You close your eyes and scream as they prepare to pounce.

You were squirming around on the floor when you felt something touched you and you gasped, or at least tried to, but Vargus had covered your face with his paws.

"Whoa easy! Easy.. it's just me." the water type spoke in a calming tone. "You were squirming when I woke up, even had scratches and bruises on your body appearing. What happened?"

You take a moment to explain what happened in your nightmare while Vargus listens to you intently. "So you were attacked by a Hydreigon who had a master who caused this mess in the first place?" he asked and you nodded your head.

"Well no nightmare can cause bruising like that. So it was definitely a move." Vargus stated as he looked over your form. "Well you don't look worse for wear. If you're ready to go, we should do so now that it's bright now." he suggested as you got up.

You nodded as you both packed your sleeping bags and placed them in your backpacks before you headed out of the waterfall cave. 'So there is someone who caused this.. well with my failed attempt to defend myself, he may not consider me a serious threat for the time being at least..'

Meanwhile, at a unknown Terrain

A Hydreigon appeared from the entrance of a deep underground labyrinth under a volcano. “Master, the boy was unable to put up resistance against me, I can finish him off with your permission." The Pokémon in the darkness chuckles. “There's no need, the way I see it, he won't get far." The dragon nods and exited the cave.
