One Piece

One Piece- A world of vast oceans, strange islands, and incredible and bizarre powers and people. Spurred in search of a massive treasure, and the title of Pirate King that comes with finding it, pirate after pirate undertake a journey through the perilous Grand Line, a course from island to island each stranger and more dangerous than the last. Some pirates come equipped with unique technology, some are empowered by mysterious Devil Fruits, which imbue their bodies with power at the cost of their ability to swim, and some are simply very skilled at their chosen professions and fighting styles.

Regardless, in this version of One Piece, certain unfortunate pirates will run into a particular type of peril. One that, as they seek to make themselves known for their exploits on the sea, will see them exposed and make them known a little more intimately than they'd like.

(Note: As long as characters stay true to the 'rules' of the One Piece setting, they can totally go against canon events. By which I mostly mean, if you want to give a character a Devil Fruit power that another character in canon already has, go ahead, who's to say that character even exists in this version of the story?)
