What do I do?

Offer to let her talk to Mom

I can tell Mrs. Creason is flustered, and I can guess why. She’s probably looking for a job, and who can blame her? One of the reasons I loved spending the night at Mike’s house as I was growing up was because it gave me a chance to see his mom in her nightgown at bedtime. Of course, one look at her gorgeous body was all it took to ensure there would be little sleep that night for me. I confess I spent more than a few sleepless nights in that house, stroking away as I fantasized what it would be like to slip into her room and get a better look at what she had under that nightgown.

Abruptly I realized I was staring at her body, with my mouth hanging open, and I pulled myself together and looked her in the eyes.

“You know, my mom is just inside, Mrs. Creason. Would you like to speak with her?”

She immediately looked relieved, and said, “Oh, that would be wonderful, Jeremy!”

As we walked into the building together, I asked how Mike was doing. She looked uncomfortable, and said, “I’d rather you not say anything to him about seeing me here, Jeremy. I can’t explain now, but I have my reasons.”

I lead her to the main offices and find my mom standing at the receptionist’s desk, reviewing her schedule for the day. She looks up when we walk in and smiles. “Erika! So good to see you!”

As she steps over to give her an embrace, I say, “Mom, Mrs. Creason wanted to talk to you if you have time.”

“Of course. Right this way, Erika.” Mom walks into her office, and Mrs. Creason follows.

I stand there, awkwardly, looking at the receptionist, whom I have yet to meet.

What should I do?
