Offer accepted and a disappointing journey

“Bro, I can’t accept this! I know you mean well but I’m not asking for charity.” Tyrone bristled at the idea. “It’s not charity; it’s me helping my best friend and brother. You’d have done the same thing for me if our roles were reversed.” Wade smiled knowing he spoke the truth. “I’ll pay this back bro, it might take a while but I won’t forget this.” Tyrone was touched deeply by his friend’s generosity. “You don’t need to but take as long as you need. Especially if it’ll help you and Tiana fix things.” He hoped they would be able to make things work. “I think I know something that will make us both happy. How about we call this payment for the cabin? I was going to put it up for sale after this trip anyway and I know you love it as much as I do.” Tyrone hoped this would work. “That cabin is worth more than what I’ve given you! How much more do you want for it?” Wade was happy to help and knew he could more than afford it. “Nope, this will be more than enough. It’s not the first time you’ve helped us out like this. I’ll have the deed signed over to you by the end of the week.” Tyrone wished more than ever he could tell Wade everything that was going on.

Wade looked over at Tori as he drove up the gravel road to the cabin. He was still surprised after 3 years that the beautiful woman next to him wanted him. She was short and petite yet striking as any model. She stood 5’2”, weighed 105 lbs. Shoulder length blonde hair, blue eyes, 26b breasts, hourglass figure and long muscular legs. “Babe, we need to talk soon about the future. I’m not trying to pressure you but we need to make some definite decisions.” He tried to smile but felt the worry in his gut. “I know and I promise we’ll talk before the trip is over.” She smiled but worried what all he would want to talk about. She bit her lip hoping this wasn’t about marriage again. Wade fell silent when she looked away. He felt like she was brushing off the issues again. He hoped this would be a great get away and bring the changes he was hoping for.

“So Wade tried giving us $50,000 just out of the blue and you gave him the cabin because you didn’t feel right taking his money. That’s what you’re telling me.” Tiana wasn’t upset about that. “Yes, you know I hate asking for help and it didn’t feel right to just take the money he offered as a gift. We needed the money and I was going to sell the cabin anyway.” He hoped she wouldn’t raise too much of an issue about it. “Tyrone, I’m not upset by it. I’m touched our friend cared enough to even offer and honestly, I’m impressed at his generosity.” She smiled but felt a little sad the cabin was no longer theirs. “Honey, I hope this get away will help us to start fixing things for us. Wade gave me the names of some companies to try and I heard back from one of them just before we left. I start in three weeks. Hopefully things will start to get better now that I’ll be working again.” He smiled over at his wife. “I hope things go well for Wade on this trip too. I get the feeling if things don’t improve he’s going to end things with Tori.” She sighed hoping her friends would work things out.
