Of course she bets the dress

How did I become a serious gambling addict in one night? It only started as a penny game!

Yet I find myself willingly trading nearly every piece of clothing away. I have one dress to my name. Somehow, that fact is not enough to keep me from betting it for the sliver of a chance that I come back and win all my clothes back, and maybe even the pennies!

God that sounds so stupid.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Ashley asks as I bet my last piece of outer clothing.

"Absolutely." I affirm, trying to hide my embarrassment and fear from my voice.

My hand is played and... I bust. Ashley gleefully takes my last dress and adds it to her collection.

"Oh thank you so much for the new wardrobe, Em! You are such a generous young sister!" Ashley exclaims, half mockingly.

I sit on the floor quietly, wondering how I ended up naked on a late school night with a missing wardrobe. Suddenly it hits me.

School! What in the world will I wear? All I have left is underwear. Maybe Ashley is just teasing.

"Uhh Ash, so this just a for-fun thing, right? You aren't actually going to keep my clothes are you?" I ask anxiously.

"Em, you agreed to this, remember? I literally said I would keep the clothes in the event that I won, and I won, so they're mine. Not yours. Sorry kid." Ashley responds plainly.

"Ok, but can I please have something to wear for school tomorrow? I just need a dress or something." I plead.

"Ugh, do you not understand? This was your idea, Em, and I gave you multiple chances to get out. Sorry, but no." Ashley retorts firmly, though with a hint of pity. "So if you have nothing left to bet, I think we're done here."
