Stacy frowns. "All of these options are much more harsh than I expected for 1900 Conversion Points." She says out loud, with more than a little concern leaking into her voice.

The woman behind the desk nods sagely. "Yes, that will be because of the 'Normalized' attribute. As has been explained, that makes the conversions less expensive. That is to say, that a conversion that would normally require, say, 4000 Conversion Points when not normalized, instead is only worth 1900 when normalized. Hence, the Casino is able to assign it to you even though you're only 1900 CPs in debt."

"Oh fuck." Stacy mutters. "Can I change my mind?"

The woman shakes her head, but never stops smiling pleasantly. "Now that you've seen your options, it's too late to make any amendments."

"And what happens if I refuse to choose?" Stacy folds her arms defiantly. But deep down, she already knows the answer.

"Then your conversion will just be chosen at random." The secratary confirms, shrugging nonchalantly.

Having one chosen at random is almost tempting, since choosing her punishment herself feels so wrong. It will make Stacy feel responsible for what's happening to her, in a way that it wouldn't if the choice is taken out of her hands. But, that is surely not the way to behave if she's actually planning to beat this place. She needs to maintain as much control of everything as possible, in order to stand the greatest chance of surviving and successfully protecting her normal life.

The more she looks, the more her eyes keep coming back to the lewd body augmentation obsession. While at first glance it seems like the opposite of what she'd decided she wanted when she chose the 'Normalized' option - that is, something that would not leave her with lingering long term consequences once the conversion was removed - it also boasts several positives compared to all the rest.

Firstly, even if she finds that she really can't resist the obsession, it will inevitably take at least a day or two before she can secure any kind of serious body augmentation appointment. You can't just walk into a surgery and get a same-day boob job done, right? Surely not. That gives her time to earn enough points to remove the conversion before it does any real 'damage'.

Secondly, it is the least insane. People get work done to their body all the time, right? Especially women. If this conversion does lead her in the direction she's expecting, it'll not be the END of the world. She'll look a bit more like a bimbo, and that'll be it. It won't make her feel deeply humiliated every single day for the rest of her life, even after the 'obsession' bit disappears when she manages to remove the conversion.

She looks at the other options one last time.

Nope, nope, definitely nope, nope and nope.

Her decision is made.

"Fine. I'll choose the obsession." Stacy wrinkles her nose as she speaks.

"Certainly!" The woman beams as she takes the card which says 'Obsession: Lewd body augmentation' back off of her and feeds it back into the machine on her desk. "Just in time, too!"

"What do you mean by..." Stacy begins, but she never finishes that sentence.

Instead, she finds herself on her back, eyes closed, with an alarm clock blaring to her left.

She has woken up.
