Jada looked away from the Skipper and upward toward Jax. “You’re right. I’m not. But let’s hear them anyway, asshole. It won’t change my answer. I’m winning that million.” Jada said trying to hide her panic. She believed what she was saying but was also afraid of how he was making her feel so ****.

Jax turned his head slightly. Looking down at Jada. She was thankful she applied makeup this morning because she was blushing heavily but was afraid her embarrassment could still be seen. Again grinning, Jax said, “When you lose, you’re going to admit you don’t belong here. By getting on your knees and worshiping my cock.”

Jada couldn’t believe the words that just came out of his mouth. In complete shock and struggling with that annoying tingling sensation in her lower regions, Jada was snapped out of her daze by a loud shout, “Jax! Do you mind? You’re distracting our new second baseman.”

Jada quickly moved away from Jax as she walked towards Ron instinctively. She had no idea what was said beyond Jax’s bet. The words were still rattling around inside her head. She felt numb. Why wasn’t she furious? Why wasn’t she outing him right now for his behavior?

She stood next to Ron as introductions became formal. She was welcomed by the team and she even said a few words. Yet all she could focus on was Jax. Standing by himself with that stupid grin on his face.
