Nucleina learns about one of Gene's other hobbies... And then some...

Nucleina, also hosting Gene's founding celebration party, ascends the glass spiral staircase leading into the cafeteria, and sees Gene sitting with Jessica and Eric Plutonii.

"Hey guys!" Nucleina joins them, sitting next to Gene on his side, opposite of Jessica, and introduces herself to the Plutonii's. Jessica and Eric are surprised to see a mortal alien humanoid so involved in Earth's affairs, but otherwise think nothing of it.

"So, Gene," Nucleina asks, turning to Gene. "How much do you really know about astrology." Gene is equally surprised and excited about being asked this question, as astrology was one of his biggest hobbies in high school. It waned somewhat after his graduation though, and slipped into passivity after an old guy friend, who originally introduced Gene to astrology, passed away in the late 2000's due to cancer. Gene continued to refresh his memory on his western chart wheels every now and then.

"Well, I remember the basic concepts, such as aspects, the planets, the signs, and most of their basic meanings. What makes you ask?"

Nucleina responded by saying she was curious as to how much Gene would be able to interpret astrology charts especially now that he knows magic and the paranormal are real. With that, his expression suddenly became somber.

"Well fuck. Now I know something's gonna happen in two weeks." Jessica and Eric gave Gene a quizical look as he said that, whereas Nucleina sudden realized she may have missed something.

"Can you explain, please?" Nucleina had a slightly anxious tone to her voice. Gene responded by saying that unlike most 'straight arrow' astrologers in the Western world, he preferred to perceive things in the third dimension, rather than the second as had been done for most of humanity's history.

"Okay. Go on."

Gene explained to the trio he found a specific date, January 12, 2020, mostly by accident when exploring future astrological aspects related to Pluto. He saw Pluto formed a major super conjunction with Saturn and the Sun. In astrology, Pluto meant ****, destruction, secrecy, and rebirth, whereas Saturn meant money, politics, and restriction. The sun brought light, energy, and life to everything. Gene also explained his experience with polytheist psychic friends in 2010 essentially proved to him how astrology really did work. As planets named after specific deities were essentially magnifiers and focusers of the energies naturally emitted by said deities, no matter where the deities themselves might be in the universe.

Jessica and Eric looked at each other and smiled, both thinking Gene, and possibly Nucleina, were the first mortals they met in a very long time to actually get astrology right.

"In the meantime," Gene continued. "I looked back to the last time we had this conjunction, it was in late October of 1982. On that day, a major stadium collapse killed dozens of people in what used to be the Soviet Union. And of course, it was covered up by authorities for many years afterwards."

"After seeing the 2d chart wheels for those dates, did you check the 3d spatial positions?" Nucleina asked Gene.

"I definitely did." Gene stated. "I noticed one, very large difference. Pluto, having an inclined orbit, was way up higher than the actual ecliptic in 1982. This year, here in 2020, Pluto is smack in the middle of the ecliptic, and its energies will be much more focused, since as most of us know, the Sun acts as a huge magnifier of energy in addition to its other roles in Astrology."

Just before Gene even finished his last sentence, Both Jessica and Eric involuntarily shuddered and let out short, low growls as serious chills ran up their spines, attracting the attention of a few nearby partygoers. This was sometimes an inconvenient experience to have as werewolves, as the amount of fur trying to stand up when wearing clothes during the wolf state can be a bit uncomfortable. Just then they knew Gene had found something serious was about to happen. Being werewolves, Eric and Jessica were much more in tuned to the esoteric intuitions, and this connection is amplified even more during wolf states as well.

"Is... Everything okay, guys?" Gene nervously asked, not sure if he triggered them or something else.

"Its..." Eric began.

"I think you may be on to something, Gene." Jessica continued for Eric. "Knowing Pluto rules over **** and all, I agree Pluto is gonna have a bigger influence this time around, being on the zodiac line here. Eric and I just..." Jessica hesitated. "We just know something huge and fucking shitty is gonna happen on the 12th."

Upon learning this, Nucleina immediately wondered if she and her volunteers should stay a bit longer than this weekend...

"Ahem. I think Gene and I should talk..." Nucleina nods at Gene as they get up.

Eric and Jessica however, trade quick glances, thinking Gene and Nucleina might need their help...
