First Angel-If she likes someone, she'll be good to them but until then shes almost excessively straight-forward. She also has some maternal aspects, and looks at John's inexperience and naivety as she would a child's, and takes to him quickly.

Angel name: Armisael. This is because this was the angel of the womb and this woman died giving birth to her third daughter. Her final thought alive was of the child and her soul, before departing Earth, did all it could to ensure it would survive. It was born prematurely, but survived and was eventually adopted by a loving family. She arrived in Heaven after her child was pronounced in stable condition and asked God her fate. He told her she would thrive and have a happy life. After that, her soul was truly at rest. She is very maternal to those deemed worthy, but does not take feeling this way toward someone lightly.

Her strength as a guardian is financial success to the one she guards.

Second angel-Could easily be confused for ditzy, but is actually pretty sharp. Thats sharp, not smart. She can assess a situation or person accurately and quickly, but isn't really a genius or anything like that. If you've been to high school, you've probably met someone like this.

Died in 2003. Worked part time at Pizza Hut for about a week, and didn't care for it.

Angel name: Shamshel, angel of the morning. So called because she died at 18, the 'morning' of her life. Also, because her personality is sunny but not quite all-out exuberant. She died when her school bus rolled over on a field trip to a bakery. She was a good enough girl, but it was her efforts to save her classmates that earned her consideration in the guardian program. Her spirit was set at ease when she learned she had been the only **** of the incident, and had therefore saved the others' lives without exception. Her only regret is that she never got the chance to fall in love or even be kissed.

Her strength as a guardian is a life of true love.

Third angel-This one may be hard, since she kind of comes off as a bitch sometimes, but is basically a good person. She is an angel after all. She almost seems 'token', like Motoko from Love Hina is the obligatory ass-kicker of the group. The intention of making her was so the reader could have someone who would be a guardian and little else as an option, if they valued strength over being friendly or whatever. She's the 'i don't want to be friendly with my angel' angel. Usually pretty casual until she needs to kick an ass or forty. She has kept up with how the world, and Christianity in particular, has grown and changed and speaks more or less modernly.

Died near the end of the Crusades. Was a warrior all her life and never knew love.

Angel name: Ramiel, angel of thunder. She earned this title by being the first to use gunpowder against her enemy during the war. Her soul attained peace when she learned the Christians had triumphed in battle over the enemy.

Her strength as a guardian is strength of body and of character.

Fourth angel-She is docile, but because she was a servant in life, not because i think 'shy'=character. Really, shes not all that shy, just accustomed to being in servitude. Once she hangs around John for a while, she'll undergo a drastic change and start addressing him more casually and grow to like him, rather than consider him her master. At that point, she'll be friendly, kinda like the second angel, but with some almost willingly-lower-than-John tendencies. She considers him as outranking her, maybe, but she chose to put him on that pedestal and is happy to have done so. Not well-liked her masters on Earth, she feels John deserves her respect and service.

Died in 1718, a lifelong servant girl.

Angel name: Sahaquiel, meaning Ingenuity of God. She is the wisest angel in the ways of peace and non-military methods. Her **** was by fall from a Noh stage, from which she was thrown by a man she would not marry. Determined not to let others be murdered, she spent many years proving herself worthy of the guardian program.

Her strength as a guardian is wisdom and kindness.
