Day 50

Dear diary,

"Coline Cartier" here, haha. The last week has been a blur. My diary is the only thing I'm allowed to do in English anymore, and its almost a relief. I cook, I clean, I parade around in my bikini and my too short maid uniform, I study French and practice the story Miss Jean made up for me. I am from Nice, only finished primary school, had 7 sisters, and am working to pay to go to America. Since I'm still not fluent in French completely, I have to pretend to be rather slow. Guests who speak French are the hardest. I just try and say as little as possible, one and two word answers are best. Guests who don't are easier. I pretend not to understand English well, and usually go and get Miss Jean to 'translate' for me. It's a bit silly, but its important if I'm going to stay out of jail!

I forgot to mention how Miss Jean and I are handling the new room situation. Since my room is technically 'inside' hers, I have to walk through her room to get to the bathroom and to get to work. At first, things were awkward, especially since I woke up first usually and had to walk through her room while she was sleeping. I kept waking her up since my 4 inch heels would click on the tile, but after a few days she said it was easier if I would just wake her as part of my morning routine. So now every morning I rise, put on my uniform and heels, and enter her room to wake her. I have to do it politely or she gets a bit mad, so I always go to the side of her bed and stand with my feet together and hands clasped and say "Good morning Miss Jean" just so. That puts her in a good mood usually, haha. It's a bit demeaning, but honestly she has done so much for me, that I can put up with any little thing that will make her more comfortable.

I still get spankings sometimes when I've done something wrong, but they really don't hurt so badly any more. Usually Miss Jean will spend more time talking to me calmly while I'm laying across her lap, running her hand over my back and down over my bottom, after she's given me my punishment. Lately she has been using one of my old flats to spank me, which doesn't hurt as much as the spoon.

I am ashamed to admit that I look forward to it.
