Not right away

Without her heels Lisa made better progress, walking down two more floors before coming to a stop. Waiting for her on the landing was the handsome black man who she had dismissed a few minutes before. He leaned against a wall, watching her descend, a lazy smile on his face. Lisa paused for a moment, a tremor in her belly as she saw him, and then gathering her courage continued down the stairs towards him.

"Mmmm, you do look fine," he said with a grin, his eyes roaming over her. Lisa felt her belly flutter again at his words and the open hunger of his gaze, but she **** a look of scorn onto her face and kept walking.

"You are a rude asshole," she sneered at him. "Who asked your opinion anyway?"

"Girl, that's the second time you called me an asshole," he laughed. "I think it's you who is the rude one."

"Who cares what you think asshole? Now get out of my way, I'm late."

"And you're going to be later," he said quietly, stepping in front of her to block her path.
