Chapter 17 by Ben Rosewood Ben Rosewood

Does anything that exciting happen at work today?

Not really, just another day in the office

It's a surprisingly short walk to your workplace at the office of Sharpton Supplies, your father's other child. You had a cushy job working IT. Whilst some do complain about you behind your back, that ends when they're computers play up. Your father also gives you the occasional errand and did his best to show you how to run the business.

As you arrive at the front of the office, you're met by your father's secretary, Monica. The voluptuous brunette is a few years older than you at 25, and you've always had a crush on her. Just about any guy would fall for her wide hips, large breasts, and a broad smile. Plus her nerdy nature had an added layer of appeal. Despite your feelings, you maintained a professional relationship. Anyway, right now you're more than happy with Adela.

"Morning Oscar." Monica says.

"Hey Monica." You reply.

"You're looking sharp today."

"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself."

Monica's cheeks turn bright red. "Thanks... Say, I could use your help?"

"Sure. What is it?"

"My computer suddenly shut off yesterday. Dunno why."

"I'd be more than happy to take a look at it."

"Thanks Oscar."

You head straight to your father's office, where he is sipping his morning coffee. He's pushing fifty, with greying brown hair, and a growing beer belly. "Hey there."

"Hey Dad." You say.

Looking at your attire, your father says "Fancy day out?"

"Oh, uh..." You stammer as you try to come up with something to say that isn't 'Yeah Dad, I took my girlfriend out to dinner and then she stuck her fingers up my ass'.

"Nevermind." Your Dad interjects. "Is their an issue?"

"Just something with my computer." Monica states.

"Right. Well, do what you gotta do."

You check under the desk, finding a cord unplugged. After rolling your eyes, you plug the computer back in and then say "Try that."

"Oh... okay." Monica presses the start-up button, and sure enough, the computer turns on. "Thanks Oscar."

"Anytime."

You head to your little corner of the office building to spend another uneventful day. As lunch nears, your day grows a little more exciting when Adela sends you a text.

What does Adela text you with?
