I thought I'd get to school quicker but I was wrong. I'm on an intersection near school and it's is just a stone throw away before I can finally see my school gate. The street is currently closed for maintenance. I can see workers and heavy equipment doing their things in a crater that was formerly the main street.

Well, shit.

I can still take a detour through the street that goes through a bad neighborhood, which is quite far and likely to make me late. Not to mention all the shady characters that roam the street

Or I can take the dirt path through the woods, which is quicker. But I've heard spooky stuff about this woods. There are reports about missing persons and stuff.

Nah, it's still morning. I'll be okay, right?

Meanwhile, I notice familiar sensation in my..... ah whatever. That can wait. Must be from all the running.
