You return from the armory, distribute the guns, and then you're off into the wilderness, your best friend and your potential worst enemy at your side.

In the day and a half you've been here, you have only had time to gaze at your surroundings from the camp. From what you've seen so far, the east is mostly flat grasslands, much like the field you crashed in. Further north there is a river, with some mountains beyond. One of them, the closest to you, is particularly impressive, and you instantly know that you and Will are going to climb it one day, though you won't have time to go quite that far today. The river curves along to the west where there is a forest. Here the trees are still spread far enough apart that you can see between them for a ways. The forest wraps around to the south as well, though here it is significantly thicker and darker.

"Well, group leader," Ryan says, dripping with sarcasm, "where are we off to first?"
