Karen and Amber return with two large bags each. Karen's skinny, little body is almost doubled by all the stuff in the bags. What you didn't tell Staci was that you and Karen practice safe sex and are waiting until after college to start a family. Amber and Karen were shopping for Lexie Whyte's baby/bridal shower which is next Saturday.

It would be a bachelorette party but she and Jon Smith got too drunk on New Year's Eve and and are expecting their first child in early September. The baby will be the first grandchild for Lexie and Jon's parents and the couple already have a ton of baby clothes for either a boy or a girl and a lot of diapers. Lexi is fully showing in her pregnancy and needs new clothes until after the baby is born. Their wedding is the weekend of the Fourth of July.

"Do they have anything left in the store?", you ask Karen, jokingly.

"Not much, now come and help us lug this stuff you lug". Karen replies

When you ask Karen why they bought so much stuff she gives you a kiss on the cheek and tells you she was sworn to secrecy. She then tells you have to buy her and Amber lunch as they are now broke. Over lunch Amber tells you that she told Karen today at the store that she is six weeks pregnant. She says she told Bobby last night but for him not to tell you until she told Karen. Amber took advantage of the cheap maternity, wedding, and baby stuff as she wants to be married before she starts to show.
