Craig looks to Bastian and shakes his head and then motions him to follow, they push into the trees and open the package. Once they get their compass reading helped by the gleaming moonlight they set off through the trees. But before they were able to get too far, branches and twigs snapped as a whistling sound came past a dart embedded in the tree.

They both cursed and started hurrying through the trees as darts whizzed past them, hitting trees with a dull thud. Then a sharp pinch and a heavy pull dropped Craig to his knees, he looked to his arm and saw a large dart sticking to him.

He looked to Bastian as he continued through the trees until a dart whizzed past and struck him on the shoulder. Blackness passed over them as the dart did its work.

When he woke, his whole body throbbed and burned, they had coated them with more oil, when he moved he groaned as the burn sizzled over him. He was tied up to Bastian and they were in a cell of sorts, then he realized they were on their ship. They were being taken to their planet, their fate had been sealed.
