“Honestly? I have no idea. It’s a lot of money and I don’t think I’m going to spend it all. I’m open to suggestions.”

“I already planned to use some of it for charity.” She smiles

“What about starting a company?”

“I don’t know how, not to mention I going to make enough money working for you.”

“Speaking of, salary how much you want? I’m assuming maybe 90k a year? You had 84k when working for dad.”

“Oh um I was thinking along the lines of 20k a year because your covering so much for me, and letting me live with you, and you know giving me so much time off and I have all this money now and I don’t want to take all your money and I don’t have to pay rent anymore” she blushes and starts to ramble on.

I stop eating for a second and look at her 20k? Is she insane?

“Wendy are you kidding me right now? You made triple that with dad and minimum wage hourly working 40 hours a week, is a little over 15k are you insane?”

“Yeah I know, but your my boyfriend, I don’t want to take all your money.” She smiles.

“Positive” I wipe my face with a napkin and give her a quick peck on her forehead. “The doctor probably wants me back by now, I don’t think he’ll like me being here for so long.”

“Here let me help you up.” She quickly rushes over

“No I got this.” And I quickly crumple again. “Actually, I could use a little help.”

She giggles “you don’t have to be the strong one all the time, I can help you.” Helping me find my balance and she slowly helps me walks back to my room.

A different nurse “Ah Mr. Harris your back, your girlfriend came to visit.”
