Do you let her go?
No. Your cabin is the safest place to be right now.
You jump up and grab Aiko by the shoulders and turn her to face you.
"You can't go out there. We don't know what's going on," you tell her as you look her straight in the eyes. "Eric's a big boy. He's probably gone to your cabin and is safely locked in there."
Aiko still looks unsure.
"Even if he isn't, he knows where you are and will be coming here to find you."
That seems to get her to relent and she leans in to embrace you. You hold each other for a few minutes before you suggest sitting down on the love seat.
Your own fear, held in check while you dealt with Aiko, now returns and you hold onto your friend as tightly as she holds on to you.
Things are quiet for a while, but then you hear a loud commotion outside in the corridor. The sound of people running and screaming penetrates the door and you both jump up off the love seat.
You look at each other wondering what you should do when a loud banging on the door makes you jump into each other's arms.
