You swallow and drop your head back against the wall. Given what that Gregory guy put her through, it doesn't seem like a good idea to try to...make any sort of move on Niko right now. The girl probably needs some time to herself so she can remember what it's like to be a person.

Niko's in the shower for a little while, maybe 10 minutes. {if Jenny > -1}While the water's running, you idly take out your phone and text Jenny.

Luke: Hey. Whatcha up to?

Jenny: Out.

Luke: Cool.

Luke: So weird story.

Luke: I have a second maid now.

Jenny: You fucking sicko.

Luke: No it's not like that!!

Luke: Her name's Niko, I just met her. Her guy was an asshole.

Jenny: ?

Luke: Her English isn't great, and he read the emails for her. Told her that she had to do what he said but didn't tell her she could leave.

Jenny: what the FUCK

Luke: I know!!

Luke: Anyway.

Luke: I explained it to her and the she asked me to take her charm on the spot.

Jenny: Hmmm.

Jenny: Well.

Jenny: I hate to say this, but...good job.

Jenny: THAT guy sounds like a real asshole.

Luke: Yeah. Anyway. I just wanted to let you know in case we run into each other and you see I have two charms.{endif}

Luke: No prob.

As you finish texting, {elseif Jenny > -1}Jenny: Thanks, I guess?

Jenny: I don't really care.

Luke: Ok. Have a good night.

As you finish texting, {endif}Niko gently opens the door to the shower and peeks out. Her hair is still pretty wet, but she's dressed and looks very refreshed. You scramble to your feet and she smiles, handing you your towel.

"Thank you, Luke," she says softly. "I really needed a shower."

"No prob," you say with a smile. "Do you want me to walk you home?"

"Thank you, but I will be ok," she says. "I am in Judith - just a few buildings away." She hesitates, then adds, "Do you need my phone number?"

"Uhhhh," you pause, then shrug. "I mean, I'd like it. But you don't have to give it to me or anything."

"It's ok. Here." She takes your phone and puts her number into it, handing it back with a smile. "Thank you for all your help...I don't know what I would've done without you..."

"You're welcome," you say softly.

Niko hesitates a moment, then suddenly lunges forward and hugs you tightly. You feel your pulse quicken as the curvy girl presses up against you, but it's a sincere, grateful embrace. You fold your arms around her and squeeze her back. After a moment, she sighs and pulls away.

"Ok. See you tomorrow, maybe, Luke," she says with a smile. You nod.

"See you tomorrow, Niko."

She heads out the door and you traipse back upstairs, feeling pretty good about what you did tonight. It's getting kind of late, so you collapse on your bed and within a few moments, you're asleep - contentedly dreaming of that last hug from Niko.
