Chapter 15 by tantrikenetic tantrikenetic

Think hard. Do you remember the events from the drinking game?

No, you don't

You furiously try to recall the events from earlier in the day, but with no luck. The last thing you remember was being in a long game of Risk with Melody; everything after that is a big black blur. You spend a few more minutes trying to clear out your mental cobwebs before replying.

"No." You shake your head. "I don't." Melody exhales a sharp breath you didn't know she was hiding.

"I see." She says simply and rolls onto her back. She stares at the ceiling in silence for a while before continuing the conversation. "You know...I'm not sure if I am relieved or disappointed." This only fuels your curiosity.

"Are you going to fill me in?" You inquire. Melody just shakes her head.

"If you don't mind, I'd rather not. I'm not exactly proud of what went down." She finally turns again to face you. "Look, I have to say sorry. Don't." She holds up a finger as you open your mouth to ask why. "Don't ask me why, okay? Just trust me that I have some things I need to apologize to you for."

"This is not a big deal, Melody. It's nothing permanent, right? You didn't tatoo your name on my butt, did you?" You give her a smile to crack her serious mood, but she stays stoic.

"I'm serious, Jack." She says, brushing off your attempt at humor. "I said some pretty horrible things to you and that is a big deal. To me, anyway."

"Look, you were drunk when you said it and it's not like I remember it." You try to rationalize with the girl.

"But I do remember it." She states plainly. "Now, would you please accept my apology for being a terrible friend?"

Do you accept her apology right away or do you have some conditions?
