There's no way something like reversing time is possible, and if it were, it wouldn't be given to a lameo kid living out in the Chicago suburbs. Whatever. I can bring it up with Olivia later and we have a laugh over it.

"Good catch Alexander the Great, let's get going. We've got a big weekend ahead of ourselves," she said with a smile. I grabbed my girlfriend's hand as we headed for the door.

"Be careful you two," Mrs. Caldwell called out to us as we were walking out. "It's a full moon on Sunday and all that's when the Tooth Fairy likes to strike."
"Good thing Olivia and I aren't a family then, huh Mrs. Caldwell?" I could hear her snicker a little as the door shut behind us.

"What was that about? What's the Tooth Fairy have to do with a full moon?" Olivia questioned.
"Not the Tooth Fairy. The Tooth Fairy is a serial killer from the Hannibal books."
"Oh, another one of Caldwell's infinite jests."
I couldn't help but groan at how terrible that pun was. Olivia gave me a solid nudge in the side reminding me how funny she is. "You know you love how punny I can be." I guess she's not wrong. That one was particularly bad, though.

We stop at our lockers and drop off the non-essentials, although Olivia gets distracted by the texts she received during Caldwell's class. Her classroom is notorious for how terrible the cell coverage is, but only near the back wall where Olivia and I usually sit. I glance at my watch. 4:48 rolls over to 4:49. The hallway is nearly empty. I guess everyone has already run off to their weekend plans. I see Amy still hasn't left yet. I could talk to her and see if she's made any plans for the weekend.

I turned around after shutting my locker and again, time seemed to reverse. Amy went from her locker to walking away from it backwards. I see everything in slow motion, a big blur, not sure which direction things are moving. I hold my focus on rewinding time a little bit longer until I come face to face with myself and Olivia. Panicked, it looks like everything froze. I'm not just a timewinder, I can stop time too. All of this is unreal. There's me and Olivia, looking right at me, but I'm not even real. Have I even happened yet?

Olivia is raising her hand to her face, about to tuck her jet-black hair behind her ear, revealing her hazel eyes. My bedhead brown hair, a signature look since starting school at Greenford, and my eyes... they look more pale than normal. Not quite the radiant green they always are, but maybe that's an illusion from the time manipulation. I guess I could experiment more with these new powers. I wonder if I can affect people while I've frozen time.
