"No, sorry. I'm good!" You shake your head and feel your cheeks warm under the weight of the crowd.
The champion, Masina, looks almost disappointed by your selection.
"Okay then, who else? Is there anyone brave enough to challenge our champion?" The announcer broadcasts, shifting her attention elsewhere.
You use the distraction to slip your way out of the crowd unnoticed and leave the event.
