It's a rather hot day and you can feel the beams of light practically burning your pale skin. The cement side feels hot to your feet, despite wearing sandals. You notice a few people around.

There's the mailman Steven delivering the mail and approaching your house. Both of you have talked from time to time so you aren't total strangers.

Then there's your ex boyfriend, Billy sitting down next to his lawn. You both ended the relationship on very good terms so it wouldn't be a problem to talk.
